3 seems to be close, but the others are obvious (2,5,6 being the only real ones), and the polls are going in the right direction.

I think 3 is fake. She signed up on June 5, just a few days ago (blogs always show signup date, even if no blog is posted), she has no female friends, her top friends consist of Tom, a band, and what appears to be 2 business profiles. Her pictures could have been stolen from anyone else's profile, and I'm not even convinced that the same girl is in all the pictures. Who is she in the dance class photo?

Well, yes, SOME of them are getting MUCH smarter, but most are not. MySpace closed the door on good spamming 5/18 when they made their CAPTCHA system actually work instead of just annoy customers... So people who can't scale can't make money, and the people who can scale are smart.

Well, yah.. For the mostpart, this is probably the best litmus test.

Spam comments don't mean a lot, it just means they allow people to auto-post instead of having to approve comments.... The default is set to approval, fyi.

Comments like "Yah Jake was at Falstaff on Fri but you missed him," and you see Jake in her top 8, than yah, she's real.

There are services that will spam you with comments from hot looking people, although beit lame, those people would be real anyway

Lastly, rare few Spammers use their own spam profiles to comment spam back and forth to add legitimacy

7 and 8 look to be the only definitive fake ones in my mind. The others are slightly suspect, though.

Only ones that are 80% real imo are 2,5,7.
I did not bother to look at the pictures of any of them, my assessment may be inaccurate.

Some quick way to spot tells are:
if a chick adds you randomly
if a check sends you a PM randomly
if a chicks profile is very bland, w/o much effort
if a girl only has a few pics

usually, if you are hesitant, wait a few days and see if the account is still active, lots of noobs get flagged and banned b/c they are inexperienced, and get banned by myspace.

I know this b/c myspace is a huge marketing opportunity that I have and do exploit. I would like to post a profile I created, to see how it passes your test, but I feel it is to risky.
