hey guys ...just a quick question....pokertracker is starting to RAPE my computer...i cant run anything with it...it just makes it so slow...even when i compact the hand histories...so get a new computer? or is there anything i can do to make it go faster [/ QUOTE ] Start a new database, I just closed my first database that I started since I reformatted last fall in September... I had 525,000 hand histories saved at the time in that database and everything would take forever to calculate from past months, overall stats, etc... So, I began June by creating a new database cuz my friend Brudman on stars says he makes a new one every month, and now Poker Tracker makes it seem like I have a computer that is brand new out of the box |

I have money in Crypto but the game selection is really not great so I end up spending most of my time on Stars. RB stuff works great, though. They pay every two weeks directly into the account. [/ QUOTE ] Trig, are the Crypto games much tougher than Stars or Party? And is the traffic noticably quieter and full of regs? |

Anyone else been keeping track of that Andypok dude? I was on a few tables with him the other night and we really didn't tangle much with each other, so we gave each other alot of respect generally and we continued to chomp up fish for 2 sessions so far.
As far as running good/bad goes, don't remind me, I'm still coming off a -10 buyin session in 3400 hands and then very next day a +10 buyin session in 2400 hands. Pokerstars can seriously be rediculous with the variance when you least expect it. I would personally have a -3 +3 type of swing days, so that poker isn't so emotionally draining at times. I think being up alot in a session too also makes me want to take shots at pots that I normally wouldn't try if I was losing at the time, like calling 3 bets preflop with 97s after opening, or things such as shoving with AK for stacks preflop. To Kaz: I haven't been reading this thread the past couple of days (actually finally got cable modem installed last night) and no more 56k modem for me 12 tabling. Just wondering if you were going to follow up on that possible post u were going to make about playing less tables/trying to improve your game. As far as I see it, I think I'm a pretty decent $50 NL player, I'm definitely not as ABC as I use to be and I will raise about 50% more hands than I did last year, let alone playing in reraised pots with marginal hands and knowing how to properly play them post flop generally at my limit. When I do take shots at $100 NL, which I hope to be doing soon once I get my bonus on stars, I plan on probably sticking with 6-8 tables if possible. But I hate the fact that I can't really see the screen as well with contacts in late at night then I can with glasses on, so shrinking my tables on a 22" flat screen makes all the stack sizes really small and hard to read, which is sometimes annoying to me, because normally I would rather make the tables as small as they can be without the numbers actually shrinking down to "small size", if you know what I mean on stars. Do you guys think overlapping a little is that much of a big deal anyways? Because if you're playing 6-8 tables anyways it's hard to concentrate on just about all the tables at once and become a Human Poker tracker urself to be able to ingest all this information while constantly making plays on other tables at the same time. |

Is sometimes raising hands like Q9s and KTo from MP a huge leak? (if u got at least one pretty tight person behind you)

Most times I ditch them w/o a second thought but sometimes I get frisky but not with KTo, that's just garbage if you get called by somebody in position. I'd much rather 45s 68s than KTo. |
