If this was to occur back in the day, in a smoke filled room. He would loose all his money, be barred from playing even remotely close to this place and if he was lucky...only loose a few pints of blood.

So stop whinning and move on.

Oh and by the way I consider myself a merciful man, but he wouldn't be lucky as I mentioned above if he screwed the likes of me.

I dont think I would have a prob with a 2 year ban...but keep the cash. I also need to be assured the sites will check accounts such as his regularly.

no, no change of heart at all - I still think he knew what he was doing when he did it, and thus his punishment was, if anything, too light. his entire pokerstars funds should dhave been confiscated. I also support his banning at those sites, whatever other sites or live casinos want to do, I don't care.

my anger in that post was directed towards indy (and all the people defending him or saying his money shouldnt have been taken) for saying ZJ shouldnt be punished for a bunch of BS reasons, and because indy is a troll and I hate him. my stance regarding ZJ always was and always will be that if you do the crime your ass does the time, ZJ unequivocally cheated and was caught...what's the gray area there?

Also I think ZJ is a douche but that has nothing to do with the severity of his punishment. It just makes his getting caught a little more enjoyable.

Here's my proposal:

1. Don't take his $. You cannot prove that he cheated for it.

2. Remove all accounts except for the ZeeJustin main account.

3. Give him a 3 month suspension from the sites.

4. Warn him that if he ever does any multiaccounting like this ever again the punishment will be severe (like it is now).

5. ?? You tell me?

Indy

And if you were one of the people cheated out of possibly tens of thousands of dollars...how would you feel about your own post?

Also, I'm 21. He stole a lot of money from people. He should be punished accordingly. (ie. taking all of that money back)

What's considered cheating? If this was the case and we followed your rules then almost anyone successful in any capitalistic society will have nothing. Why? Because everyone cuts corners. Everyone. Don't be a damn liar and say you don't.

Your proposal and anything close to it is absolutely ludacrous and hypocritical and anyone who agrees with it is too.

[/ QUOTE ] What's considered cheating? I think it's pretty simple -- anything that is against the rules that increases the chances that you will win money, and decreases the chances that your opponents will win money.

We can get complicated here and say that rakeback fits under this definition. Or whatever. But here's a a pretty simple way to figure out if something is cheating. Imagine asking the person who finished second in a big tournament to ZeeJustin whether he felt cheated by ZeeJustin's actions?

Did you know that ZeeJustin gets rakeback illegaly (person who finished in second: "So?")
Did you know that ZeeJustin doesn't file taxes on his winnings (person who finished in second: "So?")
Did you know that ZeeJustin had six entries in this tournament (person who finished in second: "XXXXXXXXXXXX")

Fill in the blanks yourself for any situation: Did you know that Zeejustin _____________________ (person who finished in second: _______________)

When the person in second place feels cheated, then the poker community as a whole is threatened. Given the number of people who feel that online poker is rigged to begin with, this is not a trivial issue.

Also too, can you imagine the look on his face and the feeling he got when Party sent him that email. I, for one, am a little bet concerned personally for his mental health as a person. Cheater or not, he is human, and as such has rights, and id be concerned for his well-being.

[/ QUOTE ]

Me too. Majorly. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid.

ummmmm that makes no sense. They were all part of his little operation as much as the next account.

I agree with you that people are being overly judgemental. Attacking him personally instead of what he did. But (correct me if I'm mistaken) he's something like 20 years old.

You know that cheating is cheating way before you turn 20.

Dude, I was one of the people cheated because I've played in lots of tourneys with this guy. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I just think that we should forgive Zee and find a lessor punishment for his crime.
