RB is usually around 1-1.5PTBB/100, so do the math as to how much ur WR is and what % of it is RB

[/ QUOTE ]

So that's in the region of 20% of a modest winning player's wr at any given level.

That should be important to anyone except perhaps the really big cheeses (aba, cts, gelford etc.)

[/ QUOTE ]

especially since it's guaranteed income, well unless of course somebody takes it away, lol

[/ QUOTE ]

At 25NL 6max I calculate 30%RB to be 2.5 bb/100

First thing is to exclude yourself from auto-rating when importing. If you already have that off you can look at the postgres tuning thread on the Pokertracker forums.

lol, Rating a Micro/SSNL player with ABA and CTS is funny.
You realise the first two make over 10mill a year right?

Shame they get killed by tax and haven't thought about moving somewhere for 2 years but hey .

Could someone who is maybe bored or something (or just kind) review a session for me? My downswing has reached 17 buy-ins and I have no idea where to start.

NL50, 84 hands, neatly formatted version included

[/ QUOTE ]

Trig, I had a downswing this size not long ago and it was just so, so horrible. Nobody would believe the utter, relentless brutality I was seeing daily. People assume you're playing badly/tilting/have massive leaks etc., but I honestly don't think people have any clue how dark the downswing place is until they go there.

I looked through all these hands and did not spot any significant problems. Some comments on key hands:

.................................................. ..

> You raise KK pf, then cb on 5A8 board...I think this is one of those spots where people argue both ways on the cb, so I think this is a question of style/flow more than being "wrong". And you get away from it early to resistence.

> This was the only slight preflop glitch I saw...you called 9To OOP and it almost cost a BI on 99xxx board v. I think K9. Meh, probably frustration, but again this call seems pretty out of line with the rest of the session. And as we all allow ourselves the odd loose call to catch villains out, I can't really quibble even on this hand. Also, you lost as little as possible IMO with trips and were unlucky all 4 9's were out there. Ugh. Cooler.

> 44/99...set/set...unlucky...how did villain not stack you? Well played not to lose more.

> You didn't 3b AQ out of BB...then folded on K hi flop to cb...again, this seems to me a question of style...and anyway, not 3b AQ cannot be considered a massive mistake...maybe a small one, and you don't compound it by staying in the hand too long.

> You raise 88, flop comes rags, you raise villain's donk...this has to be fine, I play it the same. I maybe thought raise more on flop or thin vb at end, but frankly I'm not sure the former accomplishes anything or the latter is a clear enough vb. And you won this hand! Well played and probably close on max EV extracted v. bottom pair.

> My least fav hand of the session....You are BB with TJ, donk at T hi flop...maybe a bit spewy, but again a small mistake and arguably not a mistake at all. A slightly frustrated hand I think.

> You raise KQ on a dry flop in a minraised pot...this move is nice and aggro and should be fine, but clearly you've walked into another hand when villain bomb-donks turn and you have to fold. Ho hum.

> 77...A TYPICAL downswng hand. You raise pre, villain MINDONKS dryish flop (bastard), you raise (this should be ok), but you get b3b...what it do???

> You raise KK preflop...Axx flop...hahaha Poker hates you.

.................................................. .

And very impotantly: I have not mentioned any of your premium hands, because I did not see ONE SINGLE instance where your strong hands got action. Again, this is so typical of a downswing as to be almost comical. Quite an amzing run of non-action actually considering you were actually dealt quite a few good hands in the session.

So overall a couple of slightly spewy/questionable plays, but nothing so fundamental that you deserve to be down 17BI's.

I'm telling you Trig, people don't understand the helplessness you feel in this big a cooler. Stick with it.

Many thanks, Chomp. Your thorough analysis is very much apprechiated.

I'm basically still confident in my game although after 17 buy-ins I feel it chipping away slowly. Your post definitely helps me there
