I don't know what else Cleveland needs to do in order for people to realize they are better than the Pistons. This series could easily be 5-0 Cavs and they've played better basketball consistently. The idea that the Pistons will just "wake up", "knuckle down" and "focus more" is a joke.

Rank these players in terms of who you want on your team in the final 5 minutes of Game 7 of the Finals, against a very good defensive team. Note: they are playing their A+ game

DWade
LBJ
Kobe
Dirk
Jordan
Bird
TDuncan
KG
Baron Davis
Reggie Miller

Dirk and Reggie have trouble creating a decent shot against great defenses (moreso than these other guys anyway). Ducan is easily stopped with a double team. Part of Jordan's A+ game is finding the open man, and that's great, but Kobe on his A+ game refuses to pass and is ++EV over a Kerr/Paxson/Hodges/insert-random-onedimensional-shooter 3. DWade is great in this situation IF refs are willing to call the fouls.

the series could also easily be 5-0 Detroit. For most people to beleive the Lebrons are a better team, a good start would be actually winning the series.

Actually, it really couldn't be 5-0 Detroit.

Before the series, the line was 25% Cleveland, 75% Detroit. Pretty obviously now the correct line is within 5% points of 50%-50% and that's only because Detroit has home field.

because the Pistons wins of 3 and 3 were super close, but the Cavs wins of 6 4 and 2 (in 2OT) were blowouts?

what would be a good estimate for line in the finals if Cleveland wins this series? Does it matter if it goes 7 instead of 6?

Probably because Cleveland fell apart in the 3rd Quarter of their 2 losses (and 4th Quarter of the 2nd game) after controlling the game to that point.
