[ QUOTE ]
"I am on my laptop so I don't' have any hand histories from yesterday. I ended up down about 240K to Patrik in our HU match. This was our fifth match and I had not been impressed with his play in the previous four. I felt that I really out played him, well this match was different. He played extremely well and I have to give him credit. He countered my strategy and overall game plan well. "

[/ QUOTE ]

Your title sucks. He never said he didn't respect PA. He said he wasn't impressed with his play in their first four encounters. Maybe there's good reason for this. Until you produce some hand histories from their first four matches showing that Brian is delusional, I'm going to continue to assume that he knows more about what happened and about poker in general than you, SALAZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR.

You don't think Brian has some idea of how to assess the difference between running hot and actual play when evaluating a session?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not going to join in the flaming, but I will say that I'm definitely not anti-Townsend. However I do think it may be possible that, having been a small stakes player such a short time ago, Brian may have an unrealistic expectation of better than average luck. I'm not saying he isn't a great player, but I DO believe the possibility that he has overestimated his edge in some cases.

I understand TLK being that much better but he had a super high IQ and still lost to Patrick sometimes.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought you were serious until I read this.

[/ QUOTE ]

Explain please. TLK has like 160 IQ, are u saying brian is smarter?

[/ QUOTE ]

No. I don't know much about brian or TLK as I am not a fanboy of any of this stuff (but do enjoy reading the gossip about busto's) but your statement is plain stupid and as such it made the rest of your post come off as being a big level.

I guess, since you wrote it, it probably wasn't a level and was just stupid. I'm sorry for ever posting in a thread you started.

[/ QUOTE ]
Explain why the comment was stupid? Or are you too stupid to do that....
Mark: Stupid post salazar
Salazar: why?
Mark: Cause you're a stupid poster

Hmmm, very intelligent answer.

[/ QUOTE ]

/sigh - i really shouldn't get involved but I'm bored.

a) Who is TLk and how do you know he has an IQ of 160?

b) "and still lost to Patrick sometimes. " - Huh? this is the really stupid part. I garuntee you that if I played multiple limit holdem sessions against ANYONE in the world (including PA, TLK and Phil Ivey) I would beat them in at least one session. Does that really mean anything? I'm guessing the best HU limit holdem player in the world is no more than around 60-65% against a winning 10-20 SH limit player. Basically this one part of this one sentence invalids the rest of your post.

c) This is very similar to b but all of the comments your posted in OP really show your lack of understanding of variance.

d) This is similar to b and c - you are stupid.

Actually, you are very good at what you do - post to incite response. I responded and I never respond in these threads. Maybe you aren't as stupid as you initially appear... maybe...

edit: added some line breaks.
