[ QUOTE ] I'm really not sure even how we could go about proving ZJ's skill or lack of skill as a multi player without a lot more information than what I put forth. [/ QUOTE ] That was my point. [/ QUOTE ] You can be pretty sure someone entering a big weekend tournament with 6 accounts thinks he is significantly EV+ in these tournaments. Why else would he do it. The oportunities for collusion are great when you are at the same table as yourself, but that does not happen frequently in such a large tournament. I don't think it is a coincidence that both players caught were very strong players. No one else would have reason to do this. Also ZJ is 19 or 20 or JJProdigy is at most 18. I think immaturity plays a role also. They both come off as arrogant egotistical nerds. |

[ QUOTE ] N82, Since you already know, why not save me the time of talking to a Windows software developer and just PM me how this is done so I can notify Stars? Thanks so much. [/ QUOTE ] I have never tried what Jeremy suggested, but it sounds like it would work if Stars didn't have something in place to repeatedly check for multiple instances as the program is running. But I will PM you anyway. [/ QUOTE ] Mind sharing how you found out about this? Did someone told you or did you figure it out yourself? And in both cases why would you be interested in that information? And if you really want to help, the best way is to post it here, that way when Stars sees that it has becomed of public knowledge, they will be forced to do something about it. |

[/ QUOTE ] Shaniac... double placed in a live tournament... its amazing what a last name typo(?) can do for you. |

jedi,
It's a good thing you are not a lawyer. That is woefully incorrect and terrible logic. J |

[ QUOTE ]
When we look at motivation, I think it is worth looking at the fact that ZJ was trying to build up an image as an online tourney superstar, yet was a losing player over many hundreds of these tournaments. He needed some wins to compete with all the young tourney guys making a name for themselves. Not surprising that he resorted to multi-accounting and I think it's naive to believe that he didn't resort to other tactics. So, yes, it is very fair for people to say that the whole image of a winning tourney player that ZJ has gone out of his way to portray himself as on his website and online forums is a complete sham. [/ QUOTE ] I'd be the first to admit I'm essentially a journeyman (mostly ring game) player. My successes are modest at best. Now at age 51, the whole "poker player as celebrity" thing has me scratching the thinning hairs on my head. It saddens me to think that so many talented young people aspire to become full time players. Those who are serious students of a real profession and/or work in a decent career/job and play the game fairly and for love on the side are the people that have my respect. My guess is you nailed his motivations. [ QUOTE ] I do not dispute that ZJ is a winning STT player. [/ QUOTE ] I'm trying to learn SNG play. I'll still read his old material, but I'll be a little sick inside as I do. ~ Rick |

[/ QUOTE ] I figured it out when I was trying to do something similar that was completely unrelated to poker, cheating or anything else. It had to do with running multiple instances of a program on a computer that wasn't even connected to the internet. I figured it out along with some google searching and consulting some experts in the field. Like I said, I don't want to let people know how to do it. If the Stars security people have half a brain, then they know about it. I did tell Diablo in a PM, so I suppose he'll email them. I'm not sure it will do much good though. |

[ QUOTE ] Could someone link me the JJProdigy thing. I suck at using the search feature [/ QUOTE ] Just username search JJProdigy. I'm pretty sure thats the last time he has posted on here. Shouldn't be too hard to find. [/ QUOTE ] You might also try using a + sign directly in front of the search term as in +JJProdigy. ~ Rick |

Are there any software geeks out there? Isn't there some kind of program that PokerStars could run which would search threw all the ip addresses of every registered player and it would highlight multiple accounts that are from the same IP address. Now there will be cases of roommates playing together etc...but I'm sure with a little INVESTIGATION...they could find similarities between cheater multi accounts online.
Any thoughts? Do I not know what the hell I'm talking about....its very possible |

Don't know you - don't care to. But 2 things jump out at me:
1) you don't regret you did it - you regret that you got caught. You could have stopped at any time if you regretted it so much. 2) If you cheated? IF? IF? Wow. The fact that you even question whether or not you cheated makes it fairly obvious that you've started to believe the cheating, lying world you created. You have not one person but yourself to blame for all this. The fact that you don't do anything but aplogize and stick your tail between your legs amazes me. Doesn't matter. Those who have been amazed and motivated by your success now see you for the pitiful disgrace that you are. And we're all better for having seen you go down. Now we can learn from your failures just as much as we thought we were learning from your supposed successes. |
