Women hate whatever you enjoy, tell her that reason you hate poker now is because it bothers her.
You must tell us how this works out too.

My ex gf was pretty unsupportive when it came to poker and it became a real pain in the ass. The girl ive been dating for the last 8-9 months is very cool with it - the first time I explained it all to her she totally got it, It probably helps that shes a scientist so can think logically and understands statistics. Now if only shed think logically when it comes to emotional stuff and arguments... thats really asking too much.

I have my setup in a semi office setting. My wife USUALLY leaves me a lone to play, but if she just came home, she usually wants to talk.. and will come in and sit down and start talking.
My first response is usually to keep playing. If it is the 5 minute version of her day, great, I can keep playing.
If she goes on past 5 or starts asking me questions my
stock action/answer is..

Sit out on all tables, then say
I can't talk to you and "WORK" at the same time. I am going to lose money if I do. Would you like me to stop and talk to you?
My wife usually sets a decent cut off level of importance. If it is about health, money or the kids she will usually ask me to stop. If she is telling me about what happened at the grocery store she is usually satisfied with the 5 minutes. Then I can sit back in or shut off if necessary.

I wrote a big reply to this but I think I can cut it down to one sentence:

GET OUT NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN.

If you truly love this girl and feel like there is a real future for the two of you, give her what she wants. It sounds like she is frustrated that you are playing while she needs/wants your attention. Give it to her. At the very least play less when she's home or play less tables so you can interact with her easier while playing.

Here's the thing. Poker isn't going anywhere, but if you neglect the feelings of the person you love, she may very well leave. Is that what you want?

All women OP's age are attention seeking & money hungry and are most are still not matured enough emotionally to know what they want out of a relationship or outta life. At this age they all are continually looking for the B.B.D. Trust me...I been there, done that.

I think you have it the wrong way around. She doesn't respect OPs job. If she loves him, maybe she should stop being a bitch.
