He's just upset that the warriors>his favorite team.

[/ QUOTE ]You are partially right. I would love to see my Sonics in the playoffs instead of GS. I should give them more props simply because the WC is much harder than the EC, but I don't like them.

The AK call shoulda been a no call, but that is the only thing I agree with. He got awqay with those calls because of "home court officiating". It's a standard in this league, but it's something you have to deal with. If these two games were played in Oakland GS would be up 2-0. The fact is they blew their chance at the series. they win today and they win in 5. They are going to need to sweep at home to win.

Sarunas isn't worthless but giving him time now after not playing at all is not going to accomplish anything. Monta needs to play like he did in the regular season so we don't have to have Pietrus playing all the crappy minutes.

How do you figure GS would be up 2-0? GS missed key FT's and overall exhibited zero half court offense when it was necessary. I honestly didn't think the fouls calls were bad either way, EXCEPT the AK47 call. I still think the Boozer calls were bad, but I can see arguments against it. GS is a weak team. Too many streaky shooters. Utah is doing a better job denying the paint and I know Sloan will take the <40% shot all day.

KC - he's basically 20/10 for his career, right?

-Al

[/ QUOTE ]

yup. But he's tripped at every major step of his career. He was never very popular in GS, got good love in Sacramento but blew it against the Lakers, had a decent half season in Philly before dogging his way out of there. Compare him to his peers: Duncan, KG, Shaq, etc.. does he really hold a candle to any of these guys?

I like CWebb good enough, but he just doesn't have it. Maybe he'll sniff it, but I really don't expect him to make it. Maybe Walton will campaign for him and he'll eventually get there.

[/ QUOTE ]

keep in mind we are talking about the basketball HOF, not the NBA HOF. The basketball HOF will also consider his days with the Fab Five, and how some argue they ushered in a "new era" with the baggy shorts, precociousness, etc. I think he gets in.

[/ QUOTE ]

WTF, there's the pro basketball HOF (w/all the Russians, etc) that CWebb has zero shot at & then there's a college basketball HOF, which CWebb should be a lock for, right (apologies if I'm wrong)?

And Booze is already better than KMalone, at least in the clutch.

GS home court has got to be worth somewhere around 6-10 points. They will always miss free throws but these "extra points" make up for it. Of course I'm probably just being a huge homer in this regards and overrating their home court. I don't think anyone can deny that they are much better at home though.
The calls havn't been that bad trying to look back on them objectively. They are just slightly favoring Utah which was expected in my opinion. Certainly not game changing all by themselves, but when combined with the warriors bad palying down the stretch( which is the main reason for the losses)it leads to the game.

those were both pretty standard moves for Boozer. When he's playing against a bigger defender, they usually just soak it up and the result is he creates some space. He needs to be aware when a smaller guy like Barnes or Davis is on him that it's a much riskier play. Seeing a smaller guy go flying when Boozer drops his shoulder into them isn't much of a stretch and isn't gonna go his way very often.

Biggums, my bitching aside, we can both agree the calls have been pretty good, as they have been all playoffs thus far.

As for your HC Point Diff, 6-10 seems like an assload. +5 seems like a better number, especially this deep into the playoffs. Big advantage to GS, Utah has a HORRIBLE road playoff record under Sloan.
