Tunica Horseshoe 10/20

I'm heading to Tunica May 16-18 and will most likely sit in the 10/20 at the Shoe sometime during my trip. Does anyone have advise for a first timer about how that game plays? Any comparisons to a standard loose, passive 4/8 game would be appreciated. Any other Tunica related advise would be appreciated particularly about LHE up to 10/20. No advise needed about hotels, as I have already booked my poker room rate. Thanks.

The first time I ever played 10/20 live was at the Shoe. The two times I played it, it was a fairly soft game. There were only maybe 2 or 3 people at the table that were better than what I would see at a 3-6.

I didn't have that good of a bankroll for it and took a shot and played for a few hours and ended up $250. I hardly would even see a raise in the game I played. Of course, that could just be random.

4-8 in Tunica is really easy. So I say take a shot and worst case, you can probably drop back down to 4-8 and make most if not all of it back up.

Should be pretty soft. I've never played in it, but the one next door at Goldstrike is soft most of the time.

Definitely very soft and the game usually plays more passive than aggressive. You'll be able to spot the guys who'll 3bet pf and the guys that won't do it without AA pretty quickly.

I have been there a few weekends when they get a 10-20, but it is pretty rare. I would for sure go to Shoe for 10-20 first, but I think the NL games are better at the Strike from what I have played.

really? Last time i was there i wanted to play some NL, but the games availabe were uncapped and I was too skeered to sit down w/ my 300. (I don't remember what games they had but I think there were 2 blind structures with both being uncapped.)

The past couple of weekends the GS has had 2-3 tables of 1/2 NL, usually 1 table of 2/5, & 1 or 2 tables of 5/10 NL. All uncapped. All juicy.

The 10/20 LHE is hit & miss on the weekends. Runs maybe 75% of the time. Good game when it does though.

There has also been a 25/50 PLO game running fairly regularly as of late.
