to clarify, i certainly understand that most steals !=perfect super awesome defense. But the amount of steals we have had and saying we cant create turnovers was just an illustration for my point that no one outside of the bay area knows anything about the warriors and have all decided that the team they "know" is a bunch of hyper aggressive "helter skelter" players who are getting lucky.

Eh, we've always thought that as soon as people around the country started actually WATCHING warrior games they'd get on board, and Warriors fever is taking over the bay area. Tons of people I know who don't watch sports were calling me excited about what they'd seen in last nights game and I'm just enjoying the ride.

I'm cautiously optimistic at the moment, but we're still underdogs and just happy to be on the same court as this amazing team that went to the NBA FINALS(!OMG!) last year.

and I'm VERY happy with my season tickets

I hope we've settled this issue - it was fine for Avery to rest his starters in a meaningless game when it was unclear who the 8 seed would be. Frankly, they earned it, and shouldn't be scared to play anyone. Also as a Clippers fan I'm not pissed. You have to win your way into the playoffs and we kind of sucked all season. Anyway how fun is it to see your team barely squeak into the playoffs and get swept (Clips would've gotten swept) by Dallas?

Lol @ no respect for GS. They are dismantling (ok that's over the top but you know what I mean) probably the best team in the NBA. Also, that's basically saying people have no respect for Baron and he gets much [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] holla!

PITTM - if GS does this for an entire season, they'll get even more respect!

Guys, the Mavs played their starters in the final game of the season. Just about everyone getting major minutes in the playoffs played 20+. The game got out of hand early and so they went into blowout mode.

The biggest reason the Mavs are sucking is because DeSagana Diop can't play 48 minutes, so Avery brings in Devean George. George not only can't rebound, he can't shoot, which leads to fast break points for the Warriors.

If you had the best player in the League on your team you'd get more national burn.

Also PITTM - do you read national sports papers or just Bay Area ones? GS is getting tons of credit right now on a national level, as they should. You should find something else to get yourself worked up about.

lol, you bringing a lot of nonsense. Are you confused about about why the lakers have more media coverage as opposed to golden state? Or do you think the media should have been clairvoyant earlier in the year and assumed this year would be the year the GSW come out of the playoff slump?
