Physical tools do not make a football player. This guy has barely played any college football and he expects to be drafted. He wasn't even invited to combine. Not gonna happen. [/ QUOTE ] I got $20 that says he is drafted. |

[/ QUOTE ] Bob aren't you a Giants fan? Then you should be familiar with the "only a handful of athletic giant human beings in the world" theory that the Giants created. You can't teach speed and size. Not saying I agree with it, just saying. |

[/ QUOTE ] he plays DT - the position that arguably needs the least mental makeup or game experience. if he were a safety or linebacker, I might agree. I think someone will surely take a chance on him. C'mon, Cecil Collins was drafted. |

Someone will either spend a 6th or 7th rounder on him, and if not he'll get his chance as a UFA.

This guy will obviously get drafted, and rightly so. Picks in the latter rounds have such a low success rate anyway that drafting a guy like that and sticking him on the practice squad has got to be a better gamble.

[/ QUOTE ] In what limited play time he has seen he was really good. He got a glowing recommendation from the coach who recruited him to OSU. That said there are some concerns about his work ethic and conditioning. Scouts also seem to think he needs to lose a bunch of weight. |

[ QUOTE ]
Apparently Arthur Blank told McKay to do whatever necessary to move up to grab CJ. This has the potential of ruining the Falcons for a few years IMO. link [/ QUOTE ] and from PFT [ QUOTE ] Under the trade value chart developed by Jimmy Johnson in the 1990s, the Falcons would have to come up with 1,600 points in addition to the 1,400 points that apply to the No. 8 pick. The rest of the team's selections in the 2007 draft barely equate to 1,400 points; thus, the Falcons would also need to include 200 points from the 2008 draft. [/ QUOTE ] Also, they're reporting that GB has offered KC a 1st and a 4th for LJ. |

[/ QUOTE ] If LJ stays, he isn't going to be that effective. In the last 2 years, he's lost Roaf and now Shields. Not sure if Sheilds is a HOFer, but he's close. |
