Anyone got any tips for me - I sleep like 12 hours a day at the moment, sometimes more. Mainly because I don't have a set schedule etc etc.

I read somewhere that sleeping too much is just as bad for your health as sleeping too little.

I dunno if its true or what you can do about it really.

Maybe set an alarm super loud and put it on the other end of the room?

Wow, I thought I was the only one with sleep issues.

However, my problem isn't sleeping 12 hours, it's not going to sleep at all. What I seem to do is go for 24 hours without sleep, then for a couple days sleep an average of 4-5 hours a day, then on the fourth day I'll sleep like 12-14 hours. Rinse, repeat.

No tips, but I can tell you that as you get older you need less sleep. I can go for a few weeks on 5 hours a night before I need to catch up with an 8-9 hour night. In Vegas, I'll probably be on 3-4 hours of sleep a day......

Alarm clock

[/ QUOTE ]

What if you don't hear the alarm? I used to sleep through an alarm clock right in my ear for over an hour. My roommates hated me. But I really didn't hear it. Weird?

Well for me, I do set an alarm clock. Even if I really should get up and go to a quiz or something, I often just turn off the alarm clock and go to sleep. And before you recommend putting it on the other side of the room... it is. The odd thing is that I don't have any trouble getting up if I HAVE to. (Exam, plane to catch, etc etc) As soon as I go home for the summer, I'll try to go to a doctor and get some medicine.

How's your caffeine intake? A lot of caffeine in your system will make you real tired once the initial caffeine buzz wears off.

Likewise, and my days disappear. I dont even play much poker. I dont hear my alarm clock (it's very loud too). I go to sleep at 2/3 get up at 1/2 whenever. When I wake up I am very tired. Lack motivation, etc. At least snooker world champs on for 2 weeks LOL.

Going to uni later in year is gonna be hard.
