support's reply...
"Hello Evan, Thank you for your email. Our Cashier Team has experienced a high volume of cash out requests in the past 3 days. Your cash out is currently in our transaction queue and each cash out will be processed in the order in which it was requested, which in your case should be within the next 12 to 24 hours. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience in this matter. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Kind Regards, Alex CakePoker Support" shady. what would have happened in the last three days to trigger this glut of cash outs? |

Cashout: I received mine within 36 hrs, via epassporte.
Software: I was planning on loading a cake accout up, making it my secondary site. Unfortunately, after a few hours of messing around, it began to crash my computer everytime i openend a new table a selected a play option (fold, call, etc). |

"Hello Evan,
We have recently seen a large number of new Cake Poker account creations. As you may be aware there are a number of online poker sites that have had difficulty transferring funds to their players. The reason that we have experienced a higher than normal volume of cash outs is due to the fact that many players new to the site are cashing out a small of funds to test the efficiency of our cash out processing. Again, our apologies for the delay. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Kind Regards, Alex CakePoker Support" ooookay alex |

As much crap as I have given Cake I have to give credit where credit is due. I had an issue that needed immediate support related to their software and they went above and beyond the call and quickly too.
FWIW their support has always been great. |

Yeah I think Cake are just suffering a lot of the growing pains. I remember when Chris...or was it Grummin...one of them, was on here almost every day, looking for a lot of feedback etc(I think you gave them lots of feedback PA?). I got the impression it was a very well run poker room, by guys who thought they had plenty of time to get everything sorted, and accomodating for the player. Then the UIEGA happened and they're experiencing growth that they are having a lot of problems handling. I've seen this in the past many times(anyone remember Gamesgrids Forum Freeroll Challenge?), however by speaking to Cake, I get the impression that they're just overrun right now, but trying to make good.

When I worked for BW I spoke with Grummin and was in constant communication with him. That is why I supported them so much and to this day have not completely thrown in the towel. Taking on sb.com and the Neteller mess has left them some challenges for sure.
Hopefully the checks and software issues will be resolved. There is so much potential there. Speaking of Gamesgrid, can you believe their fall? It's a good example of what can happen with a few bad decisions. 12 players peak in last 24 hours. |

Gamesgrid is the only poker room that I think deserves a violin I mean lets see...things start off great with their VIP Program etc, but that is dropped then the traffic drops. They then manage to reach out to thousands of players with their big forum freeroll challenge...I remember this was the buzz on almost any poker forum....and then the servers can't handle the load, completely disgusting the players, and boom, you have thousands of unimpressed potential customers.
Then they start launching skins, including Tony G. Things look up again, they start making bold statements about accepting US players bla bla bla...then they no longer accept US players, that coupled with absolutely atrocious customer service from their main skin Tony G. The Tony G software was quite nice too. |

[/ QUOTE ] I've done my best not to shill on the forums and have pretty much stuck to the facts in these threads, but this is pretty much right on. Gamesgrid...yeah. It took a special breed of incompetence, ala Doyle's/Planet/Paradise, to get to that point. |
