The best way to get something better would be first to try to improve what is already here.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's exactly what I'm doing and I'm using the same method that has proven effective time and time again.

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

You are trying to destroy a community for your own gain.

I don't blame you at all, but don't try to dress this up.

I'm not trying to destroy a community at all. What would I have to gain from doing this?

As I've stated before, I will post regularly in the new forum, and I think everyone will learn from the improved discussion that goes on there, including low stakes posters.

I am (fairly) high stakes and post all the time, and always get left off these lists It's funny actually, lol.

If you disagree with me, please explain one thing to me.

Why do you believe that the STT forum will follow such a vastly different path than the NL and LHE forums followed?

Why is there any reason to believe that a split won't have the same positive effect?

[/ QUOTE ]

I refuse to acknowledge Melch's are any one elses arguments from now on until a logical response is given to the post quoted above.

[/ QUOTE ]

Those forums never had a sense of community, it was just a bunch of people.
Irieguy's post sums this all up better than I ever could.

Lori

[/ QUOTE ]

This is 100% wrong. All of those forums had a great sense of community. You haven't posted in the forums, so you wouldn't know. HSL players all have each other on aim just like STT players do, and it has been that way since before HSL existed.

You are a robotic $109er. Trained monkeys can beat the $109s. Don't you listen to Citanul?

And you are not being left out. You and curtains have been mentioned several times as posters that actually posts and helps posters from all stakes.

Bobbyi already adressed that.

"All of these forums we have now were added over time because in each case there was an active, vocal core of players who wanted to post there. Nobody said "gee, if we add more LHE forums, maybe new posters will appear out of nowhere to fill them up". The community for each forum already existed. I don't think that is the case with a high-stakes STT forum now."

[/ QUOTE ]

Well the community already exists.

I don't know how to argue against you guys when you are contradicting yourselves.

Lori is saying that the problem is that this community already exists, and you are saying the problem is no such community exists. This just shows that you guys don't know what you're talking about.

Dude, for real, post an example. You say that hands don't get the discussion they deserve, therefore high stakes players don't post anymore.

SHOW US AN EXAMPLE

It's a totally crap argument until you can produce at least some evidence to support it.
