If you apply the aejones theorem, you will frequently wind up getting value bluffed, and screaming things like: "What a SICK call with AQ high, that is HORSE [censored] that he was bluffing with two 3s! What a [censored]!"

I was playing late last night with a guy who tried to use this theorem.

He open-limped on the button, sb called and I checked. Flop came something random with two clubs. SB checks, I bet pot, he calls, SB overcalls. Turn blank. We check to him and he min-bets and we both call. River is a club and SB leads out for pot. I call, and the idiot on the button overcalls. SB shows 8c6c, I show Jc5c, and idiot on the button doesn't show his unimproved pocket threes.

This brings up an important distinction in that this theorem should probably only be applied when HU and not used to justify overcalls.

That is a great point, I should have mentioned that.

Please God, only use it in HU pots, or if your'e really going to use it in three way pots, raise, don't call.

i am beginning to realize the aejones theorem is only applicable in cash games, as i am o-fer in making sick calls in tournaments
