Short stack is about to go out. I was probably in a bad situation against SB. I wanted to play the short stack AIPF with this hand. Not the SB. That is why I didn't go all in.

[/ QUOTE ]Like I said, unless the SB is a muppet, he's shoving ATC vs. you here. Push or fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow...I'm glad I don't play sngs anymore. If, in fact, only the worse players at the $6.50s don't know to shove any two here, you sng players are in trouble.

When I left the $109s at party in late November, there were very few capable of shoving any two here.

[/ QUOTE ]I don't see SB pushing ATC here. BB has 735 left after posting blind. How much FE could SB possibly have? What would be the logic of SB pushing ATC here? Why wouldn't he just let me take BB out without risking crippling his stack?

I don't like shoving here because I want to fold if SB wakes up with a powerful hand. Folding seems better than shoving, but I have a good hand that can put BB out.

MJ: Im writting to you cause I think you need to put some strong hand in the coaching of wickss.
I dont want to talk about the AT hand and his reasoning on pass over the chip leader with a 2BB raise. The forum says all he need to know.
I think we are missing something , my dear MJ: The best players of sng are in icons ( at leats a few) . If wickss take seriously the blog , a lot of good players will put opinions . Maybe ( and this is only an advice cause I dont want to pass over you) you could take some HH , put in the blog and see what happened . Another : at the end of the day you could put the progress of wickss.
The 6.50 are great to build a BR , but 16 are plenty of regulars , so wickss will need a better knowledge before goes up . I walked all the streets wickss are walking .
Always great to talk with you.

SB is not pushing atc here unless he knows what hes doing, but there are very few at the 16s who push atc here I imagine there are even fewer at the 6.50s most likely he has a hand.

Oh and to answer your question, because you cant call.

Once you donk-raised, SB would push ATC knowing that you have to fold regardless of your hand since BB will be blinded off in two hands.

There is no reason for you to attack the shorty BB through the monster SB with these stack sizes. Donking off 1/3 of your chips here is sick.

If you meant to induce BB to shove if SB called, then it back-fired b/c SB had a clue and BB knew it.

There is a difference between plays that are +CEV and those that are +$EV. In these circumstances, you need to learn how to recognize what makes you the most money, not the most chips...... /rant

people need to remember it's a six-fifty
and that our opponents are not so thrifty

second level thinking is no good here
more likely our opponents had too much beer

if our opponent thinks like this
we'd better give the six-fifties a miss

pushing and folding is the key
min-raising and crap is not for me
