[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Probably some time into the 3rd tri. [/ QUOTE ] What about 5 months into the pregnancy? [/ QUOTE ] Check the edit on my post, but if I understand trimesters correctly 5 months isn't in the 3rd one. Make your point about fetuses being viable at the point of conception and lets move on. [/ QUOTE ] Well, you're not viable stark naked on the north pole either, are you? I'd love to stay and chat, but I have to take off. |

[ QUOTE ] Don't tell me that because you have a religious belief, that's supposed to necessarily be sufficient for anyone but yourself. [/ QUOTE ] I believe you can be opposed to abortion without being religious. I'm for the most part against abortion and it has nothing at all to do with religion. [/ QUOTE ] I am not saying I know you, but I find these statements tend to be false to so great an extent that more explanation is due before I'd accept them at face value. They remind me a lot of the people who say they aren't necessarily Christian, but they think the Bible should be taught in science classes. |

It is possible to have a moral code that isn't based on a religion and have that code find abortion distasteful enough to be against it. |

[/ QUOTE ] If your point is that most people who are opposed to abortion are religious, I would have to agree with you. |

[/ QUOTE ] I was referring to the likelihood, especially in this culture at this point in time, not to the possibility. Care was taken not to rule possibility out. Skepticism seemed fair and appropriate. |

I can dig it. I've been doing that for a lot of the thread.

I didn't read the other responses, but OP, if you leave this girl, you're a [censored] douche and you deserve to be discarded like a bloody fetus. People MUCH worse off than you are raising children in places MUCH worse than where you are. Be a [censored] man and take responsibility for your actions.

[ QUOTE ]
To you. It's clearly incorrect on its face to assume that everybody shares your outlook, and you know this. I'd go so far as to dare to say, not sharing your outlook doesn't make someone a murderer or a scumbag, either. But I'm kinda crazy like that, you never know what I'll do next. [/ QUOTE ] Nowhere have I assumed that anyone shares my outlook. If that were so, why would I even need to post it? |
