which part didnt u understand? [/ QUOTE ] all of it. did you read the OP? the sb is CL and very laggy, how are you not ahead here? SBs play is a very standard bullying IMO. AK is a crystal clear call here, regardless of how many BBs there are to call. |

The bet size is all in.
The read is loose and OOP. I'm assuming hero is tight as he wonders about ak here. Even a loose player should respect a tight players EP raise, when he is close to the felt, and for him to make a move here is just bad (substantially EV-) This hand is all about tournament standing, and w/ 20XBB its an easy call. IMO hero made the right decision for the right reasons, the rest is results oriented. If hero had 300K the decision would be tougher. I'd have a hard time putting SB on a range that included k2, and I certainly wouldn't expect it on the last 2 tables of 1000 player event from the CL. However, anything is possible online. |

Villain1 is SB. Villain2 is BB. And this is a fantastic spot for Villain1 to run a move on Hero here, if he believes Hero is tight. [ QUOTE ] This hand is all about tournament standing, and w/ 20XBB its an easy call. IMO hero made the right decision for the right reasons, the rest is results oriented. [/ QUOTE ] I could construct a variety of examples where calling would probably be mathematically wrong where Hero would have 20xBB. [ QUOTE ] If hero had 300K the decision would be tougher. [/ QUOTE ] Still a call, assuming our read on SB is the same. [ QUOTE ] I'd have a hard time putting SB on a range that included k2, and I certainly wouldn't expect it on the last 2 tables of 1000 player event from the CL. However, anything is possible online. [/ QUOTE ] K2, perhaps not. AQ-AT? Sure. Worse aces? Maybe. KQ? Probably. KJ? Possibly. If Villain1 is a solid LAG, and reads Hero as tight, all of those plays probably look good to him too. Hero SHOULD be scared here (hey, like you are) because of the SB's stack size, so SB SHOULD be taking advantage of that to bully Hero off what looks like a position raise. (And BB is basically a non-factor in the hand, because the real profit here is going to come from the SB no matter what else happens.) |

Ur right. I misread the hand and SB range should be alot wider.
I think alot about AK. Particularly after my bustout hand at the PCA. It's a fine balance between giving FE and not getting ur tournament in when u r way behind. Everyone's game is different. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm amazed that arguably the best player on Stars is telling you all that you're wrong and nobody wants to beleive him. [/ QUOTE ] and who should that be? [/ QUOTE ] Shaundeeb... the guy at the top of the yearly TLB. [/ QUOTE ] you mean the arrogant kid who plays 50 tables of 4$ /180 players tourney all day? no wonder he is the TLB leader. [/ QUOTE ] Lol bash me all you want I could care less of your opinion, yes I am arrogent but when people make an effort in 2 of your posts to correct your bad thought process and you start a flame war first with nath then with me it's sickening to me because as others have stated we are going out of our way to help you and try to make you better. My parapragh to you is comepletely true the tone you may not like but actually read what is there and notice how many other people better then me agree with that. For now I think you should be the one playing 10 tables of 4/180s to learn MTTs instead of losing money at the 50+ levels. Yes, it saddens me to post that as it WILL hurt my bottom line not having a weak player in a tourney whose a ripe spot to resteal from etc. But it's for your best interest to learn MTTs before you blow through your roll. |

[/ QUOTE ] SB showed J4 off, not k2 (that was the BB) he made a reasonable move that would have worked most of the time. I am folding a lot of hand to his move. which I think make that an ev+ move.(from his part) btw what do u think my range for calling here? it was a question in my original post that wasn't addressed. for example do u fold 88 here? |

dedor you need to get to higher level thinking at these tourneys esp with your stack. If you are folding a lot to his shove you shouldn't be opening most of those hands.

I think what shaun is getting at is that you shouldn't be raising a lot hands that you won't call a push with here, because SB WILL resteal from you very widely here.
