Exact same thing happened to me. Used the CIBC swift code and my account number and received an e-mail telling me the withdrawal was cancelled because of incorrect details but they've kept their $2.40 U.S. fee for doing nothing.

When I said the CIBC swift code, I was referring to my PC Financial account, like yours. Not an actual CIBC account. Just to clear things up.

Im trying to cash out 1000$ on stars, but I thought neteller was closed to canadians. But when I try to cashout from stars it only gives me the option to cashout to neteller?

So neteller works for cashing out? But we cant use it to deposit?

NO Neteller...it won't work.

Usually sites require you to have deposited with a method before you can cashout to it. I haven't cashed out from Stars recently, i imagine you'll have to email them to find out what your options are.

I recently set up an account on MB. After setting up my banking details, I tried a test withdrawal of $100. From what I could gather from their site, the charge for a bank transfer was a flat fee of $2.40. The money showed up in my bank account after 3 working days, but the amount was $85 instead of the $100 !!! Now I am totally confused as to how much they charge for bank transfers. Is it a flat rate, or a % of the withdrawal amount?? If anyone knows, please post, since its impossible to get in touch with MB.

Was it a wire transfer? It may be your bank that is tagging on the extra fees. What bank?

MB takes a flat fee of $2.40. Your bank is charging you $15 to receive an incoming international wire.

I know that Royal Bank charges $15 for receiving incoming international bank wires. Royal Bank charges at least $35 for sending wires. Yes, I miss Neteller.

i think when MB sends money to our bank accounts it is classified as a bank transfer, not bank wire. or is this incorrect?

if that's the case, party appears to be the only good place to cash out.
