Another thing to note is like all coordinators, Martz has no role in who the team drafts.

That's a bit of an overstatement

"absolutely raves about Quinn and you just can't underestimate the value of having that kind of stamp of approval..."

I also remember Charlie Weis' supergenius being the reason ND was going to be able to beat OSU and LSU in their bowl games. And then Brady Quinn started getting scared when an NFL caliber defensive player looked at him and either threw the ball away or did that incredibly pathetic "backpedal and fall down into the fetal position before getting hit" move that is pretty much my defining image of Quinn.

Quinn will be a complete and total bust on the level of Akili Smith.

Teddy Ginn finally ran. 4.4 on a bad foot. Apparently he's still only like 75-80%. It's been like 4 months. This has to be more than a sprain. Where do you think he goes now?

I wasn't aware the injury occurred during a celebration. One more reason not to act like a jackass.

OSU and LSU were significantly better teams then Notre Dame. It doesn't mean Weiss doesn't know a good QB when he sees one...?

Anyone know what happened to ESPN.com's On The Clock feature? They were showing a different team each day as part of their mock draft but it's disappeared ever since Pacman Jones was suspended. Another reason to hate the [censored].

Nevermind, found it here.

Ginn was expecting to run faster but he obviously isn't 100% yet and 4.38 in the rain is not bad. He started to run routes as well and the workout was called off after Ginn slipped 3 or 4 times in 20 routes.

With the depth of this WR class, Ginn can go just about anywhere. St. Louis and Miami were well represented at his workout.

WR rankings 2-7 this year vary greatly, mine are:
2.Dwayne Bowe
3.Robert Meachem
4.Jason Hill
5.Ted Ginn Jr
6.Sidney Rice
7.Dwayne Jarrett

I still put Ginn #2. He ran 4.38 with a sprained foot. He has great hands and is a great return man along with that. Either way, he'll have an immediate impact on any team he joins whether on special teams or offensively.

But WR is still a huge bunch after CJ. They're all very close together in terms of skill and potential. You can get a great WR at round 2 or even round 3. There's no reason to pick one in the first round when you can get one of equal quality later.

As for my opinion:

2. Ted Ginn Jr.
3. Robert Meachem
4. Dwayne Bowe
5. Sidney Rice
6. Dwayne Jarrett
7. Anthony Gonzalez

Bob,

I can only hope that teams see Ted Ginn as the #2 reciever in the draft and he is off the board by #17. I do not want to see Jacksonville taking him with that first pick. I hope Nelson is there and that he is a Jaguar. Safeties are the safest pick in the draft and Jags need a safe pick.

That's what I wonder about. What kind of sprain takes over 4 months to heal?
