Spews chips on marginal situations and has a weak grasp on the game. I havn't made note on what he 3bets preflop yet, but his range seems fairly wide (maybe AQs+, JJ+). I'm very shaky on how I should be playing QQ in this situation. Should I fold preflop? Get aggro postflop? |

I thought this was me at first from the description and stacks but I must be villain Y because I dont remember this hand and would never check the flop there after 3betting. Screenname? Dont out mine or the site if you work it out.
Once he checks the flop Im betting here every time, then proceed with caution from there. |

fold preflop, when you think his range is wide? makes no sense...
first of all im betting the flop here most of the times, if i dont, then im definately raising his turn donk. you played this too passively imo. |

this hand is pretty terrible.
I'd bet the flop and probably get in all in on the flop pretty comfortably. If i checked flop, I might call turn as you did, but i would certainly value bet the river when checked to on the river. Get in the habit of value betting against players that will never CR bluff the river whenever you think your hand is good 95% plus. I think here your hand is always good on the river, dont really worry about what crap might call you. |

[/ QUOTE ] The main reason I had a hard time with this hand is on the flop play. Assume that villain is competent and holds AKo, they're always going to cbet at this and makes hands like QQ think that they hold AA/KK, right? So why should I even call if I'm just playing for set value? In this particular instance the villain sucked and I should have been betting, but I was thinking too much about "what am I going to do if he has AK?", as well as villain's potential holding of AA/KK. |

i have no idea what site this is but the last time i played QQ for set value ever was at full ring against nitty regulars a long, long time ago.

So assume standard TAG villain 3bets (range being AQs+, JJ+) from the BB preflop and you hold QQ. You call (?) and flop comes up T75r, and villain pots it. How would you play it? |

flop check here can be excellent, as long as you are capable of doing it with AA or KK
i shove turn... villain will put you on AK a lot. |
