Might not be THE answer but a guy who definitely comes to mind is Terry Porter
/homerism included The guy is #1 on Portland's assist list, 11th NBA all-time. In ten years in Portland, he led the team to the Finals twice and in only one season did a team he played on fail to make the post-season. If you ever watched Porter play, you realized that although Clyde got all the attention, Porter was pretty important to that run of success in the early 90's. He played a bunch of craptacular seasons near the end but his numbers earlier in his career were pretty nice. Not only that but he was great around the commmunity. So yeah, homer it up! |

Mark Aguirre? [/ QUOTE ] He was awesome. When he was hot, there was nobody hotter. I remember one game where he had something like 29 in the 4th quarter, just launching threes with guys draped all over him. |

I always thought Rik Smits was pretty underrated. When he was healthy, which unfortunately wasn't very often, that guy was impossible to guard in the post. He was 7'4", had a wide array of post moves, and a silky smooth touch. Excellent range for a man of his size. He had some legendary battles vs. Ewing and Shaq in the playoffs.

Porter was a stud. Buck Williams and Kersey should be in this conversation as well.
BRAG: I CURRENTLY PLAY IN THE SAME LEAGUE AS JEROME KERSEY |

Adrian Dantley, Alex English [/ QUOTE ] I'd throw in my underrated top 5 of Robertson Dantley [it's a close one for me btw him and Alvin] Marques Johnson Rolando Blackman [very, very good player] It's pretty hard to have an 'underrated' big guy, usually they're overrated. Chris Mullin was not underrated, hell, he just made the HoF, won 2 Golds, Dream Team, et al. |

I'll throw in Jack Sikma too. He invented the "Sikma Pivot" and was a great scorer and rebounder in his prime.

That guy could really fill it up. There is 0.000% chance Kersey is the most underrated player of the past 20 years. I like the Buck Williams nod though. And if we stretch back a bit more...Bernard King. More than 20 years ago though. |

They also brought Cliff Robinson and Drazen Petrovic off the bench. Most people have probably never heard of Petrovic, who went on to be an all star with the Nets, and whose life came to an early, tragic end. |
