Ok, I just played about 200 hands and lost 3 buyins. I'm not exactly sure how I am such an idiot, but literally every single bet I made was just wrong... I stacked off to shpanko is about the most vile way possible, and I want to hang myself.

Tomorrow I'll stop being an idiot again.

That graph can't be real. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to lose over 25 buyins in a ~1k hand span and still be a winning player (see hands 9.8k - 11k).

Most of SSNL is made up of winning players. Yes you can still make money. Yes you can still multitable. Yes you can still play at Stars. People have winrates from 1-10. Read posting guidelines. tx.

do u guys really think that most of ssnl is made up of winning players? seeing that only a small percentage of poker players are long term winners, and that alot of ppl bs about their results( ie. im a winning player over my last 20K hands, or, im a winning player if u dont count the downswing), i would of thought that maybe only 50%-60% of ssnl'ers are winning players. obviously if by 'most' u just meant >50% then yeh, i guess, but im curious as to wat % of ssnler's u think are long term winners.

No idea on an exact number but Id estimate about 30-40% are real longterm winners? Another 30% are probably marginal winners/break even.

Pulling the numbers out of my ass but, there are plenty of people here who seem to have been playing 50 and 100nl forever without getting anywhere.

Personally Im worried that 200nl is as high as I can be a winning player...

my opinion: tons of SSNL are breakeven @ .5/1 and 1/2, but in a more fluid sense. ill explain.

a small percentage beat up on 1/2 but could never beat 3/6+ unless they got lots of coaching

tons of SSNL players would be winners if they got coached or played more hours per day, but are content making what they make and show the days they make 2k and would forget about the days they lose 3k.

where in real society like 10-15% of people at 1/2 are winners, those people who do generally move up until they find stakes they cannot beat for what they did before. at that point, they move down to whats most comfortable, and if that is @ SSNL they are "tops" of SSNL. but this rarely happens because people who beat up on 1/2 are better off learning while giving up some equity in the process of learning to eventually beat 2/4 and 3/6.

the people breakving even are the ones who were marginal at 50nl and 100nl "taking a shot" or just learning how to adjust to the fact that everyone isnt retarded. they will stay breakeven, barrin short term variance, until they "get it". if they dont, or if they run terrible, they will complain about running bad and move back down to 50nl.

many good players arent winners because they tilt off their roll doing stupid crap.

i could go on. but id say at 1/2, prob only 40% of ssnl posters would actually be winning players. prob only 15% could make more than 3ptbb/100.
