Phil still has a mortgage to pay off. If he is worth millions, why hasn't he paid it off earlier? Do rich people have mortgages? lol, i, apparently have no idea about real estate, so feel free to laugh.

I don't know too much about Chinese Poker, so indulge my ignorance. Hellmuth said that the most they played for was $2000 a point. To lose $536k would mean that Phil Ivey was +268. Even if they were playing the 1-6 method (1 point for hand and 3 point bonus for winning all three), there can only be 6 points in one hand. Is it actually feasible that Phil Ivey could reach +268 in one night?

I believe they have bonus points for certain hands (Straight flushes, quads, etc.).

No wonder Ultimate Bet; which is partly owned by him, is starting to steal money from players accounts

If Donktusow gets 6 figures a month Phil over the past few years must have got millions from UB, his book is a huge seller (about the only book thats in every bookstore in the UK) and apparantly he is the best poker player in the world so he must have made a fair whack on that (wasnt he the first to go fishing Jerry Buss style)
Besides if there was no luck in Chinese poker he would have won 500k that day |
