Why don't you tell them to put a stop payment on it and try the new ACH method?

WOW!! I still wont play there. After changing their bonus requirements and rakeback policy, Absolute can take their site and stick it where the sun dont shine. Anybody should be boycotting AP.

I don't see why their changes are a reason to boycott. It's not like they did anything unethical. You might not like it and choose to play elsewhere which is fine, but they are still one alternative in the poker marketplace that I feel reasonably safe with.

At least they're working on helping people get their money out instead of just getting money in.

Hmmmm, so retroactively changing bonus terms on uncleared bonuses and changing the terms on existing rakeback players and affiliates isn't unethical?

As the other poster says, at least they are trying to pay out best they can but it's hard to defend many of their actions of the last 3 months.

The terms are subject to change. I think that's pretty obvious on things like rakeback. Not saying I like it, because I don't, but there were changes in the market place that may have made those changes necessary.

I'm chatting with a rep right now.
I have two checks on the way to me. I've been waiting > 3 weeks for the oldest one.
The rep says it will cost me "$42 and and you have to wait 7 days" to put stop payment on the checks...

I think I'm going to do it anyway.

On new players and new bonuses yes but changing them retroactively is sleazy. Basically what they are saying is "Thanks affiliates for bringing us that players, now we are not going to pay you what we agreed." I can't see why anyone would promote them or UB (who did the same thing) now.

They also sent out an email as recently as two days before they changed the bonus terms soliciting players to deposit under the old bonus terms. Then these terms were not honored, a classic bait and switch. Hard to argue that they should be allowed to change terms of anything on a whim. What baffles me so much is why so many people put up with it. What agreement are they not going to keep their word on next?

Well...unless you're playing LHE ring the rakeback+bonus is still just as good as FTP or Stars (and in several cases its better). I think the biggest thing is that the # of players on AP is about the same now as it was before the changes and alot of 2+2ers (and presumeably other winning players) have left. Put two and two together...

I just created a new account at AP after reading this thread, but I don't see any ACH deposit option, am I missing something?
