-People who bring babies to movies and then don't take them out of the theatre when they inevitably start crying really annoy me.

-When driving, and I get to an intersection, that has stop signs every way, at approximately the same time as another driver on the cross street, sometimes after I wave them through, the car right behind them just goes right on through without stopping (WTF?).

-The gym story reminds me of one I had. At my gym, they have two sets of all but the heaviest dumbbells. So, I'm looking for a couple of 40 lb. ones, but find only one on the rack. I look around for the odd one that's missing and see that this guy (who's wearing sunglasses in the gym) is sitting on a 40 lb. dumbbell while spotting for his friend who's lifting the other 2 40's. In between sets I ask if I can use the one he's sitting on, he says he's using it, to which I respond, "You're sitting on it!", and he then gives it to me.

He says, "Oh so its like that?" I ignore him b/c I don't even know what this means.

[/ QUOTE ]

From the movie Alpha Dog, I have learned the correct reply is "It's like that."

I would count driving half a mile on the shoulder and then trying to force your way back into stopped traffic on this list.

[/ QUOTE ]

Saw a guy in an SUV lose control on a wet road and slam into the barrier at about 45 mph while trying to pull this move on the DC Beltway a couple years ago. Best example of instant karma I've ever witnessed.

[/ QUOTE ]

I like it. This has been happening more and more in Albuquerque in a construction zone on I-40. The left lane becomes a merge lane at some point, and naturally people zoom ahead in the left lane and force their way into traffic. To counter this, truckers in the middle lane begin to drive halfway in the left lane to block this technique. To counter that, a-holes just zoom by on the shoulder and cut the truckers off anyways.

But it takes a special kind of [censored] to stand up at a football game when everyone around him is sitting and politely asking him to sit as well. This happened at a game I went to, and the [censored] in question were cheering for the visiting team. "We paid for these seats, we can stand if we want." The constant bickering between them and the surrounding fans was a game in itself. The home team won on a last-second field goal. It was awesome.

I hate it when I get to a stop sign at the same time as another car and b/c I am not in any big hurry I decide to wave the guy through. The guy is looking right at me like an idiot and doesn't move even though I am motioning for him to drive. Well, since he won't go I figure someone needs to so I step on the gas and it never fails, as soon as I go it is like something triggers in their pea brain in which they too have to go. We both stop again, rinse repeat, wtf!

group of 4 dining. some appetizer involves 5 pieces, everyone has one and enjoys. guy just dives right in and brazenly scoops up the last piece.

[/ QUOTE ]

If the appetizer was the scooper's idea in the first place, I have no problem with this.

The more interesting question is if this appetizer was so desireable to everybody at the table, why did you only order one?

you have not lived in NY long enough....

[/ QUOTE ]

People will literally drive half in the right lane half on the shoulder to piss these people off.

I saw some old dude in a range rover who sould swirve into the shoulder to try and for these people into, I dunno hitting him or the wall I guess.

[/ QUOTE ]

NT!, I used to feel this way about these a-holes too.

Then I turned into one.

FWIW, I live in Atlanta and do this constantly. I get home in under 30 minutes with traffic when it would take 1 hour+ if I sat in line at the bottlenecks like I'm supposed to instead of using my traffic angle-shooting techniques.

I sat in traffic and cursed the traffic angle shooters for years and years. Then one day it occured to me. Why should I sit here and get pissed off at these pricks? Why should I be punished for following the rules?

[censored] it. If you can't beat em, join em. I became an aggressive driver and never looked back. I save probably 5-8 hours per week doing this and the decrease in stress level is worth much more than the time I save. Maybe I'll get a ticket one day, but BFD, the time and stress that I've saved is well worth a couple hundo every once in a while (I've never gotten a ticket for this, BTW)

And FWIW, the spineless bitches that allow drivers to do this annoy me more than those that do it. Is anything more annoying than the idiot that lets 4 people cut in front of them?

If he is a douche, he is a douche, but I will do somethign like this, where I have 4 different things Im using in a circuit, I usually ask if they want to go first though, becuase Im not usually in a hurry in the gym, but sometimes you just have to monopolize some equipment to get a good workout. But there is rarely ever anyone in my gym, so I ralrey have a problem, and the meatheads there are totally cool with it

[/ QUOTE ]

This isn't his private gym. Compromises must be made. I'll gladly take turns with you, but you cannot have exclusive use of everything in the gym.

xnoah, that is truly deserving of a cockpunch.

Kids at my gym are pretty cool. Worst I've had was this chump who was watching TV and snidely said "No." when I asked for a spot.

His idea goes in line with my thoughts of him paying for the appetizer. If he is paying then it is cool with me. But for some guy tagging along to start snagging the last piece of an appetizer like he hasn't had a meal in days is bad restaurant etiquette.
