Will Canadian account funds be frozen in Neteller like American account funds were?

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmmm, maybe this will be the first step to aquiring funds to repay American account holders.

I called the VIP Helpline and was told "I haven't heard anything about it...it's not true."

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually this reply from Neteller makes this rumor MORE likely.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, now that it is official, does anyone want to say that Neteller is not a big piece of crap company? Looks like CS was lying to Candian customers mere hours before the news broke.

[/ QUOTE ]

I very much doubt that customer service reps of a company would be aware of an announcement like this hours in advance of it being made. They likely found out at the same time we did.

[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly. Since neteller is such a big piece of crap company, why would you expect the people who provide customer "service" to know what is going on? That would be crazy!

[/ QUOTE ]

No public company with any common sense would have its CS representatives tip the public to a major decision before there was time to put out an official announcement, coordinate a public relations campaign, and so forth.

I spoke with CS and they say you can withdraw funds whenever you'd like. But they are filthy liars.

If they're really on the ball, the CS people will now be giving out a different response when you e-mail them.

Any Canadian who believes this rumour is:

1) Not going to attempt an EFT withdrawal, having their money in limbo.

2) Probably has immediately sent the money off to a trusted Neteller merchant and not left anything in Neteller.

3) Probably didn't leave that much in Neteller at any one time in the first place.

4) Doesn't trust or treat Neteller like a bank.

Personally, I think 98% the rumour is absurd, and 2% it might be true.
