Etiquette in a B&M casino

Thats absured.You have the right to ask the dealer to count the pot or spread out. If they said no then I would really slow the game down because the is getting called floor and Im making a scene. Ive never heard of a dealer saying no.

Hence proving our point.he fact that a dealer should not tell a player the size of the pot is part of the one player to a hand rule, a rule which is commonly ignored by people who think there is nothing wrong with the whole table chatting about a hand while its going on.

Nope nver played NL in Vegas, actually I dont like Vegas all that much. If I go out west Id rather go to the LA area. Played alot PLO in Tunica a couple years ago guess I got use to the dealer telling us. But here recently Ive been playing stud a the TAJ. They wont spread the pot in Vegas? Well F**K um Id spread it myself because Id be leaving after that hand anyways.

Know that I think about the only place that I played NL for days on in was in Tunica. For you people that havent been to Tunica Ill tell you this. A person can do almost anything they want in Tunica. They aollow you to do more then any other casnos Ive ever been to. Including the dealer counting the pot.

Not all the casinos in Tunica will count the pot for you in holdem. They may spread it out so you can count it...

To be quite honest, too much time is wasted playing B&M with staredowns. If you had a minute to decide, I dont see why needing one more minute would be quite enough time. Before going to b&m, the most time for a decision with stars with the additional 40 second clock. tilt and party gave no extra time and they spread 5K games. So bottom line, I dont see anything wrong with calling a clock after 60 seconds.

This line of thinking causes a lot of problems these days. This is an online player. Takes how they do things online and decides they should apply to B&M. B&M cardrooms existed long before the internet and have their own established customs. To suggest they should change to be like online is at the root of a lot of problems the older players ahve with the younger players.

Same BS as asking to see every hand at show down because they got hooked on looking at cards on Party or running poker tracker. Don't get me wrong, I've played a fair amount online but some of the BS the Mousketeers bring to the game really crawl up my butt.

Few decisions actually take longer than 60 seconds. But unless you are the one in the tank, 60 seconds is a long time. Either you are a player not involved with the hand, in which case you just want the current hand to end as soon a possible - or you just made a big bet with either air or nuts, in which case a second is like an hour.

What annoys me the most is someone staring you down over a very typical play for not a lot of money. For instance, one player limps preflop and I raise 5xBB on the button. All others fold and action on the limper. He spends a good minute investigating my soul before saying something like "do you have it?" or "maybe you have me beat..." FFS! It was a preflop raise on the button! I might have anything! There is absolutely no information in my raise and there is no reason you should not call with your KTo that you keep overplaying!

what is another minute or two in your life? relax and let the game take its course. after all, how many times has anyone here watched a movie or a tv show? at the end of it you are only that much closer to death. at least with the staredown you had some time to contemplate your contribution to the game.
