I like violence as much as the next guy, and I'm not remotely homophobic (), but this movie really disappointed me. I mean, you're Zach Snyder and you have the go-ahead to do a movie about barbaric sickos killing a bunch of people. WHY do you feel compelled to make anybody out as a hero here? WHY do you have to pretend that abstract ideas like freedom/honor have ever packed a visceral punch sufficient to make people crave death?
Earth to Mr. Snyder: SPARTANS ARE INSANE MOTHERFCVKERS AND THAT'S WHY THEY'RE COOL. STOP DISTRACTING ME WITH YOUR PC NONSENSE AND LETS DECAPITATE SOME MORE BITCHES PLZ! |

Was a very fun movie, but it looked as if it was directed by a first year film student. From bad transitions to overused slow motion to shots stolen right out of Gladiator the presentation of it screams amateur.

300 was amazing. 5/5 from me. I definitely can see how some people won't be able to process it well.
Reading the gripes about it in this thread is really, really funny, . Like....just scan through the graphic novel and then stay away if you're not going to be able to connect to it. The creativity that went into this movie (esp. if you count Frank Miller's original work) is mind-blowing. Yugoslav |

I have to seriously doubt the masculinity of anyone who did not think this movie ruled. If you are a woman/gay I can understand how you might not like this movie. [/ QUOTE ] True that. |

Me and Gary Stevenson saw this Friday with a bunch of kids from the track/XC teams. After the movie all they could talk about was how sick the Spartans' 6 packs were and how they were going to do ab workouts everyday to get abs like theirs. We quarantined ourselves because we didn't want to catch the ghey.

I think after a few more movies he'll really be able to offer some very quality direction. Beyond Michael Bay BS. more like Fincher, i think. Watch Dawn of the Dead. Very well shot movie, and just well done all around. |
