Seriuosly you spend 1h and a half in push ups each day???

Do you ever train any other part of the body?

If so how long do you spend each day in training?

Above all why spending more than 1hour in push ups instead of doing 3/4 good reps on a bench press?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ill do the pushups in the morning. Than after work of course I train all my muscle groups. I usually spend between 1 and 2 hours in the gym. Depends on what i'm working that day. For example my favorite is triceps and my least favorite is legs. So sometimes I just cruise on leg day. This time I spend at the gym is just lifting too, I don't do any cardio. I do play basketball for my cardio though. Why not just do bench press instead? Because for me at least, pushups leave me feeling way more pumped and produce a more ripped look in my upper body as a whole. Pushups work more muscles more naturally than the bench does. IMO pushups are the best exercise.

How do you work up to being able to do large amounts of pushups? Are you guys doing these to failure in all your sets? I'd like to be able to do large amounts of push ups, but just have never been able too.

I guess I'm just shocked when I hear everyone talking about how they can do 100 push ups. I can do ~30 slow full push ups, but would like to be able to do many more.

[/ QUOTE ]

Try this klompy,

Today [or whenever] do as many pushups as you can. Than every day drop and at least do 1 more than yesterday. More if you can. This alone will allow you to keep progressing in the number of pushups you can do. Combine this with lifting at the gym and I guarantee you'll be pumping out 100 some day.

"Walker stated in a phone interview on The Jim Rome Show on November 20, 2006 that he still performs 2500 situps and 1500 pushups every morning. He has been going through this same routine every morning since high school."

I think he also used to do them throughout the day as well. I remember someone saying that he would just drop down and do pushups when he was in line and stuff. I have thought about trying to do about 50 an hour while I'm at work, but I'm too lazy to get up and close my door to do them. I'm also scared someone will knock on my door while in the middle of the 45th pushup.

It certainly can be done. On cable TV there is a dubbed-over Japanese show called "Ninja Warrior." This show, called "Kinniku Bantsuke" (or "muscle ranking" in English), has run in Japan for years, and several years ago they had a push-up contest. The winner was a skinny 16-year-old high school kid who was up to around 2,000 straight push ups before he decided to stop. He looked like he could have done 2x that number. I think his nearest competitor crapped out at around 300 or so.

OK. I am going to say this once and once for all...
You are all incredibly gay. People on 2p2 throw out formulas with authority that they would never attempt in rea life. People on 2p2 tell you the "rules" of dating and the "rules of attraction" and never read Bret Easton Ellis--bless their souls.

You can ll suck my dick. You are all self-indulgent, predominantly narcissistic [censored]. And yeah, you will suck my dick in the future. I don't even know what else to say, except that when I run into a new person at my ELITE college , and they express insecurities of knowledge, I point them to this BS forum.

Congrats, you are the LCD. You can steal money from idiots, and before you call me a hypocrite, YEAH! I am an erstwhile success in poker.

[censored] yourselves. And ball out as much as you want. And cry when you realize that me and my friends are contrlling your life.

SMD,

RD
