Shaniac,

We can share a helicopter ride and hate on everyone...everyone.

I'm kinda not excited to go because I know I have to go buy new clothes and do my taxes before the 26th...ugh.

Why do you have to do your taxes before the 26th?

I thought the helicopter ride was cool but I wouldn't pay for it unless I wanted to feel like a balla. Even then, I'd probably just go with the limo like Jonathan said. My helicopter didn't crash so according to my numbers, they're 100% safe. You need to take a bus to the train then walk like 10 minutes from the train station to the main casino area. I've never done the train but it's what I'm planning on doing this year. My mom did it 2 years ago and I'll post the info as soon as I can get the info...probably Tuesday afternoon. Or you bums could use teh interwebs and find out for yourselves.

hi Mom - check out Swiss European Air, ORD>Zurich>Nice, $589 R/T according to Orbitz - never used it, but, wow, can't believe the price...but, Oh, wait...gobbo will probably want extreme ozzie$$ 1st class via a major carrier - would not blame him

best of luck to gobbo

[/ QUOTE ]

thanks for this, I'll pass it on. I checked on flights, seems like they're all still under 800. Not that it matters much, Gobbo ALWAYS changes them on the way back, thereby negating any price savings he'd gotten. He's not 1st class spoiled "yet".

I'm paying 630$ to get there and americans are paying less. Man, I'm getting screwed no matter where a tournament is.

Question,

Do we have to dress nice? Should I bring a suit for going out and stuff? What's the deal?

I'm definitely planning to dress a little nicer on average than I normally do. I doubt you need to don a suit to "go out and stuff" but I imagine the overall caliber of fashion will be pretty high in Monte Carlo, so you won't feel out of place if you look a little sharper than usual.

biz casual(I think they say "smart casual")sh/be fine except if you want to enter the Europoean Salon at The Casino.. I think they still require jacket/tie for the private rooms there...other than that, a few clubs/restaurants may require jacket
