i almost teared up during the futurama episode where fry's dog dies of old age/broken heart. and i dont even cry at funerals. [/ QUOTE ] This is a good pick. Up until the bitter end of that episode I thought surely something good would happen to the dog. I've never seen a cartoon show end on such a sad note. Actually I'm not sure I can recall an episode of any comedy series that ended as sadly as that Futurama episode. |

There are a ton of movies that make me tear up a little. They are almost always in movies where the sad scene is just a part of the movie and the whole story isn't very sad, and movies that are considered tear jerkers by most do nothing for me.

Best of the Best, when Dae Han tells Tommy that his brother was a great fighter and that he offers himself as Tommy's brother. Then all the other Koreans give the American guys their medals. I get chills just thinking about it.
Jerry Maguire gets me misty too. |

shawshank [/ QUOTE ] Seen this come up a number of times in this thread. It gets me nearly every time too. What part is getting you guys? For me it's when Andy is playing the opera music in the office and Red is describing the beauty of it. Futurama- Jurassic Bark when the dog dies and Luck of the Fryrish when he realizes that his brother loved him the whole time Rudy got me the first time Braveheart at the end when he's being tortured Lord of the Rings: Return of the King got me when the riders of Rohan ride to what they know will be their deaths in the final battle Basically anything incredibly heroic like the above gets me damn close, LOTRROTK is the only one I can think of right now that actually pushed me over the edge. |

Jerry Maguire gets me misty too. [/ QUOTE ] Even though in order to do it would mean that a time apart would have to happen beforehand, I wish I could be in one of those scenes where a lot of people get to witness me proclaiming my love to my wife. "I miss my wife." [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Edit: Forgot to add earlier - Hotel Rwanda made me bawl my eyes out. |
