jc,
I have nothing significant to add to this thread but I just wanted to know that I hope that everything works out for you. Regardless of whether you get your money back or not PLEASE press charges against the scammer. I know that it will be an arduous and time consuming process to figure out where the charges can be filed and who has jurisdiction over the issues and I am sure that it will be a bit of a pain to do some of the detective work for officers who do not want to research the theft of $100,000 from a punk kid but please press charges and follow up often and get this scammer jailtime. All the best, Steve |

I just recieved a reply to my email. I wrote them back and told them how much I appreciate their prompt reply. They admit to being sluggish, which hopefully means they are doing as they say to fix this in the very near future.
It also sounds like the first good news for J in a while! Hopefully they've taken the time to notify him as well. --------------------------- Hello Zachary, Thank you for taking the time to share with us your thoughts. We are doing the best we can to speed up our response time. We have hired more employees and streamlined the fraud procedure so we can be more proactive to crisis situations. It was indeed unfortunate about what happened to 'jcmoussasux'. At the moment, we have tracked and frozen all players who were sitting at the table with 'jcmoussasux' when his account was hacked. The good news is we can still recover his money. The investigation is still on-going but chances are, his money will be returned. We beg to disagree with you on your observation that our security measures are not up to standards. Full Tilt Poker too employs secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to ensure the highest level of security for data transmission. All hacking incidents at our site happened not because someone has been able to hacked through our digital pipelines and decipher every binary stream of data that pass through those pipes. No, most assuredly not. Frequently, hackings were done by planting a keylogger into the victim's computer. It is a simple yet effective method of hacking someone's account. And this is how the majority of the victims fell. Interestingly enough, not one PRO at our site has suffered a hacking. The same is true with our top-drawer players who have more than $200K in their accounts. These folks have never complained that their account was hacked. Why? Because they invest in anti-virus programs and are really careful with their passwords. On behalf of Full Tilt Poker, I thank you for your comments. We'll be sure to discuss and act on what your raised because I believe you have a valid point when you said that our response time is not rapid enough. Hopefully, we can correct it in the very near future. We wish you the best of luck at the tables. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, Larry N Full Tilt Poker Support ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Please remember that no one will ever ask you for your password or account information, not even support. Please use good common sense and keep your password a secret. [/ QUOTE ] No, he isn't. How do people know how much people have in there accounts? They don't, they see people sitting in big games and try to get at them. She's saying that people w/$200k care more about security than people w/$100k. This is pretty obvious. |
