Sexton's big flop bet on that all diamond board seemed real sloppy to me. A smaller bet could have gotten the job done I think. He didn't have to double Howard up there.

I noticed that too, and when Shauna asked him if he could do anything differently, that was the move that stuck out to me. I think things go down much differently if he loses 7 or 8k less on that hand (5k bet instead of 10k, and then saving the 3k extra).

Btw, anyone notice that Gabe seems to be developing a tremor or shakiness in his voice? I didn't notice in season 1 or 2 of HSP, but it's becoming more pronounced on HSP3 and PAD.

I don't think Gabe's in good health. He started to fade on Thurs show, but still made some good jokes. But by Fri he looked bad, got cold and had to (obviously) put on someone else’s jacket. At the final tables he’s made recently, he doesn’t talk and seems a little out of it. It looks like he has no stamina at all. He said he only plays in 3-4 tournaments a year and hasn’t played the main event in some time. I hope it’s just age related and nothing serious. When he played on HSP, he seemed alert to me.

How did the board take Sexton's comments to Norman Chad via the camera that he "couldn't have done any worse" after Chad Brown busted out? Based on Mike's demeanor the rest of the broadcast I think I just took that phrase wrong or he said it wrong, but it sure sounded like a big insult to Chad.

I noticed it in HSP3, and I found it potentially alarming. It could be that he just had a cold when recording the commentary, but it could also be something much more serious.

Did anybody feel the HU play by Phil Gordon was rather weak? It wasn't that long but I felt Gordon played rather weakly and didn't need to panick 15-20bb deep yet. One double up would've tied it or given him the lead if memory serves right.

I took it to mean he couldn't have done any worse than busting out first, and not a reflection of Chad Brown's play.
