My man Van Strummer can have a case of beer if he ever shows up in Alabama for his good deed.

Bad news: It is illegal to drink anything other than Bud Light, the horse piss of champions, in this part of the world...

i appreciate the fact that those of us doing the transfers made a little money outta the whole thing. i stopped doing them when the first post about NT closing accounts was made and i was charging the standard 5% fee up to that point.
i actually made more on one or two transfers as the guys involved were so grateful that they either transferred some BACK to my Stars account or i was told to transfer them less than i originally quoted - apparently it was Karma

anyway, the money i made over the 3 nights(last Sat, Sun and Mon) was less than i would have(probably) made playing poker for the same length of time so it wasnt about making some easy money for me.

the best part of the whole thing for me was that these people actually trusted me to carry out this transaction for them. To me, that meant a lot more than the money i made outta the whole thing.

so to the one or two people who are criticising in this thread, who are you to tell someone else that they shouldnt be grateful? if someone is happy to have their cash back so be it and theres no need for you to start posting here about how so many made so much outta the whole thing.

and also suzy, i offered to transfer your NT balance last weekend but u wanted someone at the Commerce to deal with so theres no point in coming on now complaining about a 7% fee or $550 fee or whatever exactly it is you're complaining about when you could have that cash available to you now.

also, on a personal level, i dont think it was right that some started charging large fees once news of the NT closures starting breaking but thats just my opinion and generally my opinion doesnt mean much

to finish on a nice note, to those who posted their thanks, it was a pleasure and once again, it meant as much to me to be trusted with peoples money as it was for you all to actually have access to it again.

OMG....it looks like suzy really gets around. I also offered to help her MANY times. On 3 seperate occasions she initiated contact with me thru AIM and wanted to cash out thru me. Each time was like "ok I am ready" or " [censored] it let's do it" and every single time she backed out at the last minute. I even responded to her post about bringing her money to Commerce bc I was going to be there last week of Feb. SHe said that it would be too late and that she wouldnt be there anymore but I can give it to her friends. I said I'd bring a cert check or bank draft and she still backed out!!! Every time she backed out, I was polite and said "ok np". If I knew that she was doing this to Mythra and Whatdoescallmean, I woulda told her where to go. What a complete waste of time. Anyone else get conned by her?

And as far as us making money and not doing it out of the kindness of our hearts.....give me a effing break. Everybody that I did transfers for were so appreciative of the fact that I and I'm sure others stayed on AIM with them the whole time. There were a few guys that I literally stayed on AIM for well over 3 hrs with just to they don't [censored] themselves. Suzy, you think it's so easy what we did?? You think we just clicked on a few buttons and made an easy 200 bucks each time? We literally had PMs coming in every 10-20 secs at times and I replied to almost everyone whether I was willing to help them or not. Some people took 20 PMs back and forth BEFORE even getting on AIM for them to feel comfortable enough to trust me. Once we're on AIM and the money doesnt come thru in 10 min, it's like "what's happening whats happening how come no money yet"? Sometimes I was doing 3 different people at once and I had to make sure I didnt get their screen names,2p2 names ,AIM names mixed up. I charrged some people more some less bc of their number of posts so when you get 20PMs coming in and you quote a guy 8% and anothter guy 7 % , and then they dont respond til 20 min later, you can't even rememebr what was quoted in the beginning bc I had talked to 10 guys in between. It was literally like an office job for 5 hrs a night. I guess any doctor who gets paid to save a life is in it for the money too , according to you.
Goddam ingrate.

Although I was not able to transfer out of neteller, I am new to 2p2, and have been impressed with the people I have met here in such a short period of time. You guys did a great job, thanks for helping out the US players

Oh and Suzy....STFU

All I know is that I trusted someone whom I never met in person, and who I only knew through posts/threads/answers on a public internet forum.

And they came through. I could have gotten taken, but instead worked with a honest person who didnt owe me a thing. I didnt mind him making a little money for his effort.

And for that I am grateful. Thanks WhatDoesCAllMean.

No kidding slim.. suzy is making it sound like we just clicked several buttons and we were done.
It really felt like a busy office job, having to respond and organize everything so fast.. and pm's never stopped.
Not to mention that the opportunity cost of me playing poker instead, and risking neteller account.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who was a bit puzzled by her.

i never got one transaction done, but that was because of my own failure to act in time. i did however witness the job everyone else was doing towards the end, and did make contact with 1morefish4u. it was just to late to move my money once i got going. however, the one transaction i am doing with him in private is going smoothly , thanks to him doing the legwork and walking me through it. i am appreciative and want everyone to know it.
as far as suzy goes, she's just bitter because she has no faith in anyone and it has cost her. gee, i wonder why no faith? maybe it's because she only see's how she would do things.
i wonder if she were in an accident and needed a blood transfusion, what her response to the person who donated it would be? "its not like they're saints or anything. they got orange juice and a cookie"!!

Disregard people like suzy, no1 was obligated to help us and im sure no1 did it 4 the money, jus the fact that these people had tens of thousands of dollars in their possesion and didnt screw any one makes them as close to saints as it gets here. I wonder whats worse them for making 50-100 bucks on the transaction they had no oligation to make or you who saved the 50-100 bucks knowing theres a good chance u could lose thousands.

slim, at least get your facts straight. i did not back out 3 times. the first time, it was late when we started talking about doing it and you said green devil had to wait 12 hours for a transfer on poker stars and it was late and you had to work in the morning, and we BOTH decided it was better to wait until the next day.
the second time we talked, we were about to do it, and you got blocked.
the third time, after i had to pay 1.9% more than the previous day, yes i backed out.

about everything else, yes, you are right. i shouldnt have said anything to begin with. just mad at myself. i apologize.

The last several days have been nothing but exhausting to say the least. Those that were helping to transfer would know exactly what I mean.

I don't know what's more stressful, the people who had to put thousands of dollars to a total stranger like me or being the person that was trusted with that money. The PMs were coming in by the second and I had to clear my PM box several times. I tried to respond as quickly as I can to everyone who sent me money because I knew how stressful it was for them. People would PM with regular updates and I was on MSN with most people for the whole duration. It was chaotic jumping back and forth and I had a pad sitting next to me with a list of names and amount that I was crossing off as I went along to make sure I wasn't mixing names and transfers. I would get a new transfer on neteller and had to go back to see who sent it. LOL.

Some people warned me to be careful because while I was transfering there was a chance they could
cancel their eft and I'd be scammed with thousands.
Our transaction was based on nothing more than just our word of honour on both sides. This was what's remarkable.

Seeing how grateful everyone was though made it all worth it. Just the thought of helping people get their money out did make me feel really good inside. I felt like I was able to do my part.

As I asked in another post on catching a scammer, can someone please tell me how to pull up chat logs on AIM? I don't recall it the same way you do suzy. The first time, yes we both agreed it was too late. But that was because you were undecided for so long that it BECAME too late. And I had to work the next morning so there was no way I would stay on AIM for potentially 4hrs (bc you had a large transaction). The second time, I was kinda pissed at you (akthough I didn't say anything)because I had explicitly said in a post that I was only doing large single transfers (bc people were getting shut down and I didnt want to be making multiple transfers). You responded and after talking for a while, you decided to wait again. I had rejected many people bc I thought you were going to go ahead with it and I wanted to make sure I had enough money to pay you. Then finally, I couldn't wait anymore so I started doing transactions and got blocked. Then I AIMED you and told you I got blocked. The third time, I told you that I had gotten a friend's NT acct to do transfers with and that there was no way it was getting shut down this time bc no money was going to be directly going from his NT to Stars or any poker site. Bc of this, I had to pay an extra 1.9% to transfer to my NT plus I had to pay my friend as well. When I got this 2nd acct, I was charging people 11% bc of these extra "expenses" but I was still charging you only the $400 which was agreed on even though I would be making less than 11%.

Anyways, I completely understand that you were nervous about sending strangers 8.5K. Who wouldn't be. But to go back and forth between me,WDCM,Mythra and who knows how many else and then saying we were not that kind hearted for making money really pisses me off. You coulda at least done 300 bucks with one of us if trust was an issue.
