Alright, fellas, I like what I'm seeing. Pros and players representing their alma maters, I like it.
As for the original dudes who criticized me as an idiot: eat it, you have no idea who I am and that's going to suck for you the second we start playing together, if you ever make it to my level, that is. Second of all: thanks to everyone who replied seriously. I AM an idiot, but I was sort of happy to see so much response to an asinine post. I will be writing a well thought-out post for why I believe the top universities produce the best pros, but for now, I hope 2+2'ers continue to express their honest opinions and defend their votes and schools. One of the reasons I posted in the the first place was out of school pride. stay classy, the J.J. Redick of Poker |

Yale boasts FoxwoodsFiend, AJoGoAllin, Fslexcduck and myself, THE ACTUAL GOD. I'd take this four against any college's top four. [/ QUOTE ] I'll get three others from my school, and we have ourselves a challenge. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'll get three others from my school, and we have ourselves a challenge. [/ QUOTE ] Format: round-robin HU freezouts. Games: 1 of limit hold'em, 1 of NL hold'em; everyone plays 8 times Buy-in: 1k each game. Blinds: 2/5 for the limit games (so $10 big bet), 1/2 for NL. In the event a 16-16 tie occurs, a chosen champion from each team must play in a 2k HU limit hold'em tiebreaker, blinds at the same level. I wanted to put more games in the mix, but then everyone has to play more than 8 rounds and it would take too long. Plus I don't think you're interested in non-hold'em poker anyways. May the best team win. Edited to add: It'd be more interesting with larger stakes, same structure. Are you up for that? |

Contact information, obviously, must be exchanged. I will also get in touch with my Duke boys and get my final four set. The stakes will depend on what my team feels comfortable with, but I am on the same page with you, I just don't want to speak for three other kids. MY AIM is: FJDelgadoAA. You must be on my buddy list to contact me. Feel free to e-mail as well at either: or The gmail address would be more convenient. I will provide my cell after we make some sort of initial contact. I would love to play these games at the Borgata, but online would be more than fine as well. I'm just throwing this out there, but if we could get someone to sponsor the showdown in the form of throwing at extra few K into the prize winnings, I wouldn't be opposed to that. Let me know... |

most good poker pros are college dropouts unless they started getting rich as seniors
the average poker player at ANY college is going to probably be spewing money at 2-5 NL or higher |

I am on the same page with you [/ QUOTE ] To clarify, I am suggesting a format and stakes between Actual God and his Yalies (FoxwoodsFiend, AJoGoAllin, Fslexcduck) and your Dukies. I went to neither school. Actual God and the Bulldogs: are the terms acceptable to your side? |

I am fine with the terms, and would like to hear from THE ACTUAL GOD, any other Yale Bulldog boys, or ANY group of pros, for that matter. I also have boys who are sick players that go/went to Penn. They would probably take on all comers as well (LK, AA, DM, StevesBets, I'm looking in your general direction). |

With the advancements in poker training products (books, software, DVD's, etc.), the younger generation are the next wave of big stars in poker. They are learning so fast it is amazing.
