I agree with Dids. Diebitter clearly stated his terms in the other thread. There was nothing in there prohibiting gimmicks. In fact, some posters, including El D, were worried that the gimmicks would help carry Diebitter in the match. As much as I want to see RJ stay and Diebitter go, it's unfair to change the rules now.

All,

Discussion and rulings with [censored] are finished. The final vote count is

Exile DB 124
Exile RJ 123

[censored] will post more about any rulings that took place, and I will make the spreadsheet available as soon as possible.

[/ QUOTE ]

oops

I had to rule on gimmick accounts and I decided that the spirit of survivor was that each poster gets one vote, and has to do it in the open. I didnt want things swayed by gimmick accounts of multiple accounts. therefore if an account was identified as a secondary account of a poster who had already voted, the vote was not counted.

[/ QUOTE ]

Unless gimmick accounts were explicity stated as a no-no in the original rules, I think is is a bad decision.

[/ QUOTE ]

Dids makes a really good point since samjones even explicitly said gimmicks were allowed if they qualified while the voting was going on. It seems a lot to me like [censored] trying to tamper results so DB is gone.

[censored] it doesn't matter. Just go with the actual results without screwing around and changing the rules. He loses next time (to hopefully Diablo).

I always thought that if you changed your vote you got banned. I don't really have a view on gimmicks unless the gimmicks belonged to a participant of the survivor. Then out them cuz that is weak.

Rules of survivor should be made up by [censored] and he can change his mind as he sees fit as far as I am concerned. He is normally fair and if he cheats we would just gang up on him and take him out so either way it is fun.

[censored],

It seems like changing the voting rules after voting is one of the few things db could use to wiggle out of the result, and actually have a legit argument.

If only Neal's vote had counted, we would have had a tie.

All - in the challenge thread, there was absolutely no mention of barring gimmick accounts from voting. Additionally, the OP in this thread mentions nothing of gimmick accounts, and cites the 100 minimum post/min reg. date as criteria.

If ANY account meets the 100 min. post/10-1-06 reg date, their vote should be allowed to stand.
