First off I did not blame anyone for what happened. I just think I deserve a C- and my profs think I don't. Also it was my advisor's fault by missing a academic meeting that dramatically changed someone's (my) future.

lol

I am not going to apologize for for my parents decision to help me out with college.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nor should you. What you should do is apologize to your parents for dicking off in your classes and wasting their money.

Obviously not everyone that is paid for slacks off, but it is way more likely that you're going to slack off if you're not going through on your own dime. Both of my parents can testify to that after being cut off by their parents after first year idiocy, taking a year off to work, then coming back way more motivated than before.

Just contemplating what I'd have to do financially to make university work for me right now makes my head spin.

Slight hijack. Just wanted to say that Zanta is awesome and I've seen him in my neighborhood. Thats one crazy [censored] up dude. Also, I'm assuming you go to Queen's. Good stuff, me too.

I won't even bother harping on the fact that you obviously do blame other people, since others are handling that. I would like to address the other part:

[ QUOTE ]
I was 60 points away from a C- out of 1000 total points.
Even though I got a B on both my lab final and lecture final they still don't think I deserve the C-. what bitches.

[/ QUOTE ]

Looks like you were 60 points away from a C-, out of 1000 total points.

[ QUOTE ]
Definition of deserve (verb)
forms: deserved; deserved; deserving
to be worthy of; to have a right to

[/ QUOTE ]

So, do you think you are worthy of a C-? Or is it that you think you have the right to it?

If you think you are "worthy" of it, you must have a different definition of "60 points away from" than the rest of us. If you think you have "the right to" a C-, well, you have some entitlement issues.

Let's see if we can break this down:

You did not accumulate the necessary points throughout the semester to have your grade fall within the score range which is labeled C-. Instead, your score appears to have been 60 points (6% of all total points, around 1/16th, and clearly quite a larger fraction of the total points accumulated by you (I'm assuming some number closer to 600? so closer to 10% of your points)) too low to qualify as a C-. This means that you were qualified, worthy of, and deserving, some lower score than a C-. What that grade is (is there a D-? I don't even know) I don't know, but clearly the grade which you earned is not a C- by anyone's standards.

If you think that the teacher should obviously count your grade as higher because of how good your (late) work was or how clear it was that you (could have) mastered the material (if you had taken the time to show up for class and do the work, etc), you're just a toolbox.

It makes me very sad that you might get your way. However, if I can find some way of spending $20 or so and making sure that you don't, and that would make me an asshat, I'd be fine with that.

ps: snake, yeah, it's a bit harsh.

yes I do think I deserve it.

could have? what does a "Final" mean to you? I know that getting a B is not "mastering" the material, however I believe that by getting B's, I deserve some sort of acceptable credit. I deserve a C-.
