Although this might belong in the stt forum, i respectfully disagree.

I dont think 10x bb is an accurate measure. There were no antes and the cost per round was only 3k. Duke's stack was 22.5k. Thats around 7x. Thats not near desperate yet.

I believe Zolotow's all-in call with KJ was ok. Gus had been playing tight all night and I would have rathered chose another spot where I could be the first one in. I believe he was 9k ....11k cuz he was in bb.

Sheiky's AK elmination. Semi surprised Huck calls here w/ QJh.

The reason I suggested a 2nd place money finish is because a winner take all does make it a push in fest. Since there is no point in finishing lower than first, it best serves to player to go for it.

I really dont see any real bad play except annie's all in with JT os. I really thought she had enough chips to move around.

Have you ever gone deep in an MTT? Pretty much everything you detailed here, strategy-wise, is bad tournament strategy. And every move you were surprised by shouldn't surprise you with such shallow stacks in a tourney?

This is a SNG not a MTT. Quite a difference. I've made around 50-60 pct of my bankroll from SNGs. I prefer shorthanded scenarios.

In fact, I'm quite surprised that some disagree.

You're surprised that almost everyone says to push with 10x BB? So what, you make a standard 3x bet with a third of your stack and then fold to a push? That's sort of ridiculous.

I'm referring to two things.

1) AD's final hand was poorly played by her.

2) It would be much more exciting if 2 places payed instead of one.

So you think that 1) AD was right in going in at that moment with JT os? and 2) the current format is better with winner take all?

my only mention if you read was AD's hand. I thought only reason why she might have done what she did was because of the format. Would you want that to happen in your tv program? Thats all I said or at least meant to say.

this series has to be one of the worst pro torneys I have seen.. It all seems setup with all the Tanties and convos- the interviews are so damn lame.. They play is horrible.. Hope it improves as people get knocked out..

That was kinda boring.

I mean, I know heads up play isn't incredible. But it kind of surprised me that they got so much out of a heads up match with the blinds so high.

There were quite a few mistakes heads up for 'top' pros. I was pretty stunned.

Is it me, or did both Gus and Huck play HU pretty passively and hoped that the deck would hit them harder?
