he should be. The foul on LBJ's 3 was ridiculous, and the clear-path foul was questionable (I'd have to look up the exact wording of the rule).

"I'd like to wipe that smirk off Damon Jones' face.. he's one cocky kid. If I had the opportunity...."

I was so pumped when he said that. Damon has one of the worst skill/mouth ratios in the league.

I was surprised the score was this close when I got home. LBJs buzzer beater to end the 3rd was sick.

Assani,
Bring something else to the table, then. I'll talk about anything. Except whether Crawford or Marbury should be the goto guy at the buzzer, cuz I couldn't care less.

there is really only 6 teams that get discussed in here. Blazers, Celts, Suns, Mavs, Clips, and Pistons. I might mix in some Sonics if I have to.

Talk to me about my Wizards for a while then. Jamison makes $16 mil this year....is there any chance that they could make a trade involving him for Pao Gasol or Kevin Garnett? It seems unlikely to me becuase the Wizards don't have many great young prospects and aren't likely to have a high draft pick. I guess they could maybe offer something like Jamison, Jarvis Hayes, Andray Baltche, Etan Thomas/Brendan Haywood, and a boatload of draft picks. Jamison's big contract will expire soon(player option for next year, done after that), so that could be one thing that maybe Memphis or Minny would want. Its pretty much a pipe dream though, right?

As constructed do you think they have any chance of contending? In the West, I would say 'no way', but in the East anything is possible. I absolutely love the way Arenas and Butler have improved so much. They are our 2 cornerstones of the future for sure.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the others players on our team. Antonio Daniels, Haywood/Thomas, Darius Songila(hasn't even played yet this year), Deshawn Stevenson, Jarvis Hayes, etc.- they all seem like decent players, but nothing that really has me excited. From what I hear, the coaches speak highly regarding Daniels and his defense, but it sure doesn't seem like we're improving much on D from what I've seen. I would be much more optimistic if we had more defensive oriented role players on our team. I would love it if we could draft that Brewer kid from Florida who seems like a defensive stopper. He should be available too when our pick comes around.

As I said earlier, Jamison's salary will come off the books soon. We have Butler signed long term, and Arenas is locked in for 3 more years. Obviously signing Arenas to an extention needs to be priority #1. But otherwise, somehow or someway we must find a dominant post player. If we can do that, we'll be set for years to come.

assani,

I'll get to that later. Generally I think a core of Gilbert / Butler is very solid. As for Jamison, his contract is a bit much, but it's not insane. He's very solid, too.

all,
great minnie / SA game going now. I'm not sure I dislike any player more than Manu Ginobli, other than maybe Damon Jones.

Too late to edit now, but I meant to say "Stevenson" when I said the coaches talked highly of him and his defense. I incorrectly got him confused with Daniels.

[/ QUOTE ]Hes decent but hes not a good defender at all and he plays rather soft for a PF(lots of jumpers and floaters). Regarding his contract, I wasn't complaining about it; Rather I mentioned it to show how a trade for KG/Gasol might work due to matching contracts.

Few homeristic thuoghts before I get some ZZzz's

Tommy Heinsohns comment about wanting to wipe the smirk of Damon Jones's face was the funniest [censored] I've heard in a long time.

Gerald Green took it to LeBron whenever he felt like it tonight, but Doc Rivers the moron gave him limited minutes.

Delonte West is one tough son of a gun.

Tonight's loss was really, really painful.

I hate Damon Jones as well. He basically owes his whole paycheck to Lebron.

As a Raps fan, tonight's game - more specifically Martin's last second FGA - made me sick. Just sick.
