Default Comodo firewall or something else?

ZoneAlarm worked for me for several years but it seems its time has passed as it gets flakier and less dependable. The lack of port forwarding is now a problem for me.

A quick exploration leaves me ready to install Comodo, chosen over Kerio because it's free. I'd be Ok with paying for Kerio if it is seriously better.

I am aware that Sygate was popular for a long time but now that it is Symantec I want no part of it.

Anybody have any comments or recommendations?

Edit: I just noticed a similar thread a little ways down. Looks like Comodo was the winner there.

I still prefer Sygate but you can't get it anymore. I was just playing with comodo and I have a gripe with it. It seems you can't toggle individual network rules on and off. You need to delete/recreate them or get creative w/ moving rules around. That's ridiculous.

Other than that, it's good.
