[ QUOTE ]
Michael Bishop, Patriots third string quarterback. My friends and I were all convinced that if he started in place of Bledsoe, the Pats would win the Super Bowl. [/ QUOTE ] Bishop has been disgracefully bad in his stint in the CFL. He's a riot to watch though. It's like he throws passes without opening his eyes. |

[ QUOTE ]
Okay, could we stop nominating solid players? Esa Tikannen scored 244 NHL goals, and is probably in the top 20 of career NHL playoff goals scored. He became washed up early and was certainly a scrub on his last go around with the Rangers, but there are way better scrubs from the Rangers teams of that time (Darren Langdon, Joey Kocur, etc.) [/ QUOTE ] Esa was never particularly solid. He played 20 seasons in the NHL and has 244 goals. An average of about 12 goals (12.2?) per season is not what I consider good. |

Tikkanen had 12 seasons in the NHL as a full-time player - and in 2 of them he was clearly finished. In Esa's prime he clearly averaged more than 20 goals a season - not to mention he had 3 post-seasons above 10 goals, all three also above 20 points, and another 9 goal affair. He was not a top line player, but he was a guy who teams would've loved to have on their 2nd or 3rd line. He was FAR from a scrub. |

Tommy Brookens In looking up this link I learned that he will be coaching the 'A' ball team here in Grand Rapids. Cool! [/ QUOTE ] Nice pick. Mine was Dave Bergman. |

Dude missed a wide open net after putting an awesome move on Chris Osgood in Game 2 of the 98 Stanley Cup Finals when he was on the Capitals and playing against the Red Wings. Great opportunity to give the Caps a 3 goal lead. Instead we lost in OT on our way to being swept. |

Football- Jim McMahon (yes I know the Bears won a superbowl but he doesn't get much of the credit for it)
Baseball- Brook Jacoby, 3B for the Indians in the 80's early early 90's. |
