Why did Neteller accept funds into your "old, closed" account?

Very little, but that doesn't matter. It's my money no matter how small or large.
No idea why NT accepted them into my old account. Not sure about everyone else, but when stars asked me to verify the account I didn't think twice as I hadn't used the old NT account in over 6 months if not longer. Maybe I'm the only person who doesn't have the NT# memorized. I admited it was my mistake, but this isn't good customer service from either company. I've been with NT for years and stars for over 1. |

Hopefully this can be a warning to others to avoid the total pain in the rear I've had to endure [/ QUOTE ] Thank you very much for the warning. In the future I will make an extra effort to ensure I am withdrawing to the correct account. Intelligent people learn from their own mistakes, wise people learn from others' mistakes. |

[/ QUOTE ] You do realize that Neteller has to pay conversion fees to the banks involved in the transfer. It is perfectly reasonable for them not to refund your money because of your mistake. Stars just transfered the money to the specified account. They can't be held responsible either. You got the shaft out of a few bucks. Tough luck. Check the account numbers next time. Saying that you will be moving your play because you screwed up is retarded. |

You ought to email Pokerstars, and tell them to completely block your old account.

[/ QUOTE ] NETeller does not pay any fees to any banks while the money is sitting on their system. They took a little off the top when it went from PS to my old CAD account. Then again when it went from my old CAD account to my active USD account. You're right, it didn't work. PS could care less about my business. Now the CS reps are sending me total crap responses in the hopes I give up and stop replying. I will be withdrawing whatever I have at PS and going to UB I think. I'll also start using another ewallet or eCheck whenever possible. |

NETeller does not pay any fees to any banks while the money is sitting on their system. [/ QUOTE ] Someone does. I don't know if it is Stars or Neteller but someone converts from USD to CAD. Then when it goes to your USD account Neteller is transferring the money between accounts, one held in USD and the other in CAD and there are fees associated with that. Like Sniper said, you made a mistake and there was a cost. That's usually the case. You should accept your mistake and stay at Stars. UB is known for terrible customer service and you certainly won't be doing yourself any favors by moving there. |

PokerStars did exactly what you told them to do and sent the money to the account you specified. Neteller screwed up in accepting money into an account that you claim was old and closed. Then Neteller screwed you by charging you fees to fix your mistake. Why are you emailing PokerStars? Hey! Neteller screwed me over! I was drinking a Pepsi at the time Neteller screwed me. I am going to call Pepsi and get them to repay me my money. I am a loyal Pepsi drinker. If Pepsi won't pay me, I will start drinking Coca-Cola. If that doesn't work, claim you were drinking a beer, contact the beer company, rinse and repeat. Let me know how you do. Under no circumstances try to contact Neteller and blame them for accepting the money into the "wrong" closed account and charging you fees. |
