high RB, propping, bonuses, etc etc.
Example: (this is not where I played yesterday) Interpoker - 5x clearing requirement for their bonus. You are getting either $0.05 or $0.20 per hand (depending on whether rake is over or under $1). Plus you can get 25% rake-back on top of this that is approved by the site and not deducted from your MGR at all. And sometimes they have another promotion that runs concurrently with clearing the bonus. Last month I got about $155 in bonus and rb at interpoker in under 1000 hands. It was just 920 hands total of which 720 were raked-hands (some under $1 and some over). $155 for 720 raked-hands = $0.21/raked-hand This was: $90 monthly bonus $35 rake-back at 25% (received on Feb 1 or 2) $30 for some other comeback type bonus they offered me And this is an easy one. On other sites I'm getting higher rake-back and/or am able to clear a large bonus at the same time. It's easy to look at the classifieds and find a prima or crypto skin where you can get 30-40%. And MrMon already mentioned how much you can make at Absolute. That's just for starters. There are lots of sites out there. Some of them actually do have value (to make up for what they lack in game-selection). |

we're giving people we like better than you [/ QUOTE ] Bob, you're taking it too personally. Party simply has an algorithm (or a dartboard, whatever you want to call it) that assigns these offers based on your past play. You played like a maniac to get that cruise; you are inadvertently being punished for it now. Of course, if Party were reasonable, they would listen to your argument and realize that they could likely make a lot more off you if they were to reduce your goals on this promotion. But, them's the breaks. One final suggestion: You might try to get them on the phone to truly explain your situation. They may not understand that you're willing to accept a smaller bonus amount for less points; they may have interpreted your email as asking for the same bonus but with reduced point requirements. If you talk to a real person, they may understand exactly what you're asking for and have the power to grant it. Good luck. |

Thanks for the detailed response. Pretty much the sites I hit up already, but always looking for new pastures. Crypto's are good but I find Prima to sound better than it is due to the way they calculate rakeback. I don't know who your affiliate is, but you can get a decent amount more than 25% at Interpoker, worth asking your affiliate at least.

I thught it was kind of a funny line at least. I know that it's just semi-random here and I'm getting lost in their very weird shuffle. I do think it's insulting that some players get such amazing offers while I get something ridiculous. But I do that it could have been equally likely to go the other way if they just used a different set of criteria. Seems like a psychological ploy to me. I'm sure they had someone consult to come up with targets for people that maximize value for THEMSELVES.

[/ QUOTE ] It is quite possible that Party's phone support is changing for the better. Yesterday, I called to get more info about this promo, and was transferred immediately to a VIP support person, who knew exactly what I was talking about, and answered my questions competently and confidently. It was completely different from any previous experience I've had with Party support. I think they might actually be trying. |

i just got off the phone with a person from party's vip department (or so they claim). the call lasted 25 minutes and i went over my displeasure concerning my offer of 21,835 points for $670. i cited that my jan vip target was 19,000+ hands for $1810 over a 2 week period. so my time to complete this was cut in half, my points were raised by over 2,000 and my cash award was cut by 2/3!
the vip rep said he would pass my concerns along, but that this was set in stone. he encouraged me over and over to at least try it for the 1st 2 weeks. it was a waste of a phone call really as it accomplished zero. i am in the same boat as microbob. tempted to take advantage of other sites, but wishing party had even a reasonable offer to keep me there. i think his idea of starting a new account might be the way to go..... |

Bob, I understand your point. But there are a couple of other factors to consider. First, if you're a TAG, you're presumably winning a greater percentage of the pots you do contest. Second, at least some of the pots you do win are liable to be bigger - because of the Ag part of TAG.
If you have PT stats, I'd be curious to see them. If I remember right, my stats were higher than my MGR, back when I had RB at PN, and later, Eurobet. |

Yeah. I'm not going to call.
I did write back to the guy who sent me the competent response though. not sure if they'll read it or not....but what the hey. ------- Thanks for your response. You are correct that it would actually take under 50 hours to achieve my goal. I looked at the numbers again and came up with 47 hours of 6-tabling the 3/6 tables. Unfortunately, I am unwilling to do that and Party is unwilling to lower the requirement (for the record, I would not expect to receive all of the money either...but if I could play just get half the points for half the money I would strongly consider participating in this promotion). I only have so many hours per week dedicated to online-poker. And I am not interested in altering my schedule and lifestyle so dramatically. I have travel, rec-league soccer, a move to a new house, etc etc. By my calculations, my bonus works out to about 4.7 cents per raked-hand. Other sites are offering me 15-20 cents (or more) per raked-hand via site-approved rake-back and bonuses (or combination of both). They want me to play there and don't require a 40+ hour per week commitment to receive any kind of bonus or incentive. Additionally, I do not feel 'forced' to play 6-tables the whole time. If I only play for 1 hour on just 2 tables I still get paid for my time. On Party, I could work really hard all week trying to get this bonus, and then still fall a little bit short, and then get absolute NOTHING in return. I'm sure you understand my position. Anyway, I'm just providing some customer feedback. I won a cruise through a different promotion you held at the end of December. I thought this was a great promotion and I look forward to more promos of this variety in the future. Strangely, I think I am being 'punished' for my play in that marathon of play at the end of December because Party (or your VIP calculators) refuse to acknowledge that I cannot put in as many hours every week as I did when I tried to win the cruise via my marathon. Thank you for your time and I hope my comments help you construct better offers for your players in the future. Foremost, I believe that party's unwillingness to work with their players when they are trying to say, "I can't play as much as you are requiring" is something that should be looked into. Sincerely, Bob xxxxxx |

I just wanted to say it's a shame you're getting the shaft. I hope they give you something good next time around. |
