I'll add my name to the long list of those who have met Newhouse and think he's a stand-up guy. When his name was first attached to the Brandi debacle, my thought was, "If Mark is helping her out, she must be a good girl. That guy seems like a good judge of character." It seems I was horribly mistaken about that. Heh. Newhouse and I also made a FT this summer at the WSOP, and so got to talk about a few hands - got to see him play a bunch of limit hands. He thinks about the game well, plays it well.

I just can't see under any circumstances how even a low limit grinder could play a hand like this. It's horrendous. I mean, I'm reading this correctly, right? She called a huge over raise on the river with 7 high?

I'm not sure what to think about the chimp dumping theory. A lot of those plays just seem desperate and others like this one are completely apathetic, which would coincide with the frame of mind she was probably in at the time. How much money did twin caracas win off of her?

I had not read all the HH's.

Many of them just looked like she was stupidly aggressive and was trying to "push people off their bluff" or trying to catch them in a bad bluff or something.
Typical fish thinking. Pretty bad stuff but you can almost see what she's thinking when she does it.


But this 7d5d hand is just ridiculous.


Pretty easy to tell that she was playing with somebody else's money when she did this. And this might have been during the time she was drinking that whole bottle of wine.

I'm thinking her play might not be QUITE as bad when it's her own money and she's sober.


Also - haven't read the NWP thread. So Mark let Chantel play on his account as well and she dropped more of his money?

Um, it's not a matter of opinion. Of course it has to be open to all. How can you praise Dids for finding the right balance against censorship in one breath and then advocate a type of fascistic control over the thread in the next? Anyway, no big deal. Viva this thread.
