I don't understand why every other type of public person in the world is allowed to sell themselves based on sex, but if a poker player tries to market themselves (ie, make money) using sex, it means they're an idiot, a whore, a stripper, etc, and deserve anything that happens to them. There's absolutely no reason why any person shouldn't be allowed to sell sexy pictures of themselves (providing that they are sexy) if they feel the money is right, without being called a whore everywhere they go.

I was refraining myself from making a post regarding the situation because I do not know you and do not know if the story is true. However, the naiveness displayed by a 24 year-old female that has an agent, has experienced traveling around the world (especially backpacking) and has worked at numerous jobs is kind of hard to believe.

This is actually an indirect compliment to you because you seem to have a lot of "real life" experience yet you overlooked the most basic yet important lesson (or should I say question) of all. Why would this person pick me instead of other people? And of course, the never-old wisdom "what's the catch?" Thus, I believe 100% in my heart that you DID know what you were getting into because women are very good at recognizing those who want to get into their pants (or at least women always have this assumption), considering they have practiced the art since puberty. But because you were in dire need of a "mentor" and a person to pay for your expense, you chose to ignore the danger that you might got yourself into. Now you can claim that you *do not* need someone else to pay for you but if your financial status was so good, then why does a 12k loss force you to eat microwave chicken, can't go out on Thanksgiving, and even got your BMW taken away from you. Clearly, bankroll management isn't something you're good at.

Looking back, you basically trusted this man so much that you gave your life savings to him (and without writing). If he was that good of a person, he would give you money to fatten your life savings, not the other way around.

Lastly, I don't think it's this incident that *ruin* your reputation in the poker community. No one know who you were and all of a sudden, we see pictures of you having a Full Tilt sticker over your breast. Worst of all, it was taken in Vegas. How's that for a first impression? Now you may be the classy, honest, not whore-like as you claim. However, the first thought that comes to my mind is, is she down for a facial?

Side note: I hope everything does go well for you because no one deserves to be in this type of situation. The first way to "clean up" your image is to start dressing jeans and t-shirts. No, I do not want to hear the phrase "I want to feel sexy." That's what got you into this situation in the first place. Then be on the down low for a while until you get yourself together with a good bankroll. And show the world what you're made of. I'm taking about brain, not skin.

Meh - that's a big enough roll to live off of meagerly and play 100NL online. If she learned a basic system on how to beat the monkeys at 100NL 6 tabling at 5ptbb/100 (extremely modest) is easily about 70$ an hour including rakeback.
