it's like running out of ammo in your uzi and bazooka and pulling out your spare pocket knife to stab him in the foot |

what about the problem with raising say 55 from middle position and getting 4 but by the button, whereas if you had limped 55 u could see the flop to a normal 4x bb raise.

your reasoning is pretty flawed.
if you can loose a big pot, you can also win a big pot. |

What about over-limping?
I know there are plenty of people here that pretty much never do that at 6-max but I've never seen a really good discussion on pros and cons. Example: Loose bad player open-limps. weak tight calls and you otb have something speculative like A4s, 86s or KTo, etc etc. |

I cn't believe there are so many people on here who are actually arguing this. OPEN-limping sucks balls most of the time, open-raising doesn't. This is all generalized and obv you can mix your game up with the occasional limp here and there but If you want to maximize your ev in most situations, raising is better.

And just because FSU is 31/14 does not necessarily mean he's limping a lot, right? [/ QUOTE ] I guess I am dumb here but from what comes the difference then ? |

Seems like everyone is overlooking the most important point here:
Limping makes your penis smaller. |
