I often find myself with a good (but not great) hand, 2pr, trips etc facing a small to medium sized reraise that I can usually read pretty well and am fairly certain they have me My problems is that the raise isnt so huge that it costs me a lot and my curiosity as to exactly what they hold gets the better of me and i call knowing full well i am going to lose the hand. THIS IS A MAJOR LEAK. i know. Im sure other people have struggled with a similar problem and was wondering if anyone had some advice on how to discipline myself better so i just muck those hands that i know im losing

I just kept doing it until I reached the point your at.
Then I cut back to doing it only 10-20% as much. |

Today I folded a hand and found at afterwards that I was the winner if I had called down. At first I was annoyed, then I realized that I couldn't remember the last time that happened, and that it the long run it might have been a good outcome.
So you have to make peace with the fact that you may occasionally lay down a winner, but the money you save in expensive calls will make up for it. I would think in no limit this is especially true. |

People talk about not playing scared, usually referring to not folding. However, you can't be afraid to occasionally fold the best hand.
