fort-2
attack-1
spy-1
security-1

Is upgrading to spy-2 next a bad plan?

You still having trouble getting enough for an upgrade?

Who is attacking you?

[/ QUOTE ]

I havent built up enough money to upgrade yet, but the attacks arent nearly as bad. My main problem now is that I can't find enough money. BUT, I have realized just how much of a difference wanted level makes when it comes to getting attacked. I used to just hit every base I came to, since I almost never hit one I couldnt steal from, but my wanted level was sometimes huge. Now I am only attacking 4+ bases to keep my wanted level low. Since I started doing that, the most they have stolen from me at once was just over $3, and I had almost $20 at that time. I have $13 in my account now with a wanted level of 1 and I just got hit for $.58, so I can handle those. It was when I had $45 in my account and got hit for $23 that were the hard ones.

As far as who is hitting me, Mysterio, bcp19, cattani, onyxtower, and cellosmiles have all been frequent visitors. bcp19 only attacks once in a while, onyx hasnt hit for a few days, mysterio hits about every day. Cellosmiles has the same attack as my fort because he hits me a few times a week but is only successful once in a while.

Another person that attacks me all the time but has never stolen any money from me is candyice. I dont know where his base is, or anything about it, but if anyone finds it I might repay the favor. Maybe it's just someone starting out that doesnt know any better, but I was thinking it might be someone that has just hit me every time he has upgraded his attack.

One last thing: I have hit all but two of the bases that rJ listed. Many were broke, but some gave me a few bucks. There were a lot of forts 4s on the list, a few 5s, one or two sixes, and a few that were 2-3. If anyone has any specific questions about one that is near them I can answer, or if it would be easier just to list the info about all of them I can do that too.

After being angry about repeat attackers i decided to just map for a while and not make any money to be sure that the attackers would find me broke. They laid off for a few days so I made a run tonight, and basically just hit mountains and deserts using my map and my up level 3 travel. I made $20 and still have 194 out of the 600 moves I had for this. If you hit all the mountains you can, it seems you could play all day with all the bonus moves available.

It is nice to know with a map, some travel, and a little time to burn you can rack up a ton not even hitting any bases for more than a quarter.

Hopefully my fort 4 will keep some of these bastards away.

This is the strategy I have been taking, hitting up 0ft bases, mountains, and deserted bases only. So far I've upgraded to 1-5-2-2-2.

What i would give to be a 1 attack again. It really is a big advantage.

I am currently 2-4-2-2-3

Stuey...Any guess on how many are active in the last week in our alliance?

Upgrading thru the $20 upgrades should be fairly easy once you've mapped a bit, after that you have to dodge attacks cause you'll generally need 2 days for the $30 upgardes.

Time is a big factor in this game!

I have to say, the amount of time necessary to play out the amount of moves given to you by the game is astounding. I don't know if I have the time to play out all my moves, but I'll still try to play at least half of them every day.

I think the required time is the biggest part of why people go inactive.

fwiw... It takes much longer to go around and attack once you have a decent map, than it does to map new locations!

The other reason that people quit playing is that the players who have been around since the beginning of the game, are at a total advantage!... There is no way to defend yourself from the players with max stats, once they find you, and they are passing around coords.

So an active player at low levels has to contend with the other actives while growing, and then has to face the unstoppable maxed out players.

Vet is an example of a player stuck at a high level but can't go higher!

I will likely have to move my base, in order to get much higher. (which is the main reason I took a cashout last month)

Mysterio or his buddy RedMeniscus hit me almost every day too.
At least I'm assuming they're buddies, their attack patterns seem to indicate they are communicating

I've just spent time mapping, and probably will do so for another 4 or 5 days. I'd like to build up a list of fort 1s, and try for a big score this weekend.
